I got that...but I cannot find any confirmation email or anything else....this is so strange..

I've gotten about a half dozen of these, some saying they have a phone reserved for me, some saying they're ready to complete my order. On apple.com my order actually says preparing for shipment. When I click the links in the reservation emails I get a message that I've already ordered a phone and can't order another. I called Apple, waited for almost 3 hours because I was worried my order would be canceled, rep said all is well, must be a glitch. Hope he's right.
 
So I'm chatting with a rep right now. So anyone who had 9/19 when you got your reservation and the date changed (even thought it was supposed to remain 9/19), this is why apparently.

FWIW, I received the same information this morning. As noted earlier in this thread, I tried to get my order in as soon as pre-orders started. I ended up with a reservation number and received the reservation confirmation email at about 5:20 am (Eastern). I received the second email, allowing me to proceed with the order, at 11:15 am. I finished the order as soon as I received that email and was put in the second block of shipments - delivery between Oct. 1 and 6.

Having read about people who placed orders hours after my "reservation", and who are receiving launch day phones, I decided to call Apple this morning. I was told that the reservation system did not work as intended and that my shipment date was determined by the time when I finalized my order. The CSR was polite, but said that she couldn't do anything to get me a launch day phone. I asked if I she could get me a reservation for a launch day pick up at an Apple Store and she said no.

Next time, I'll have to just keep banging the servers until my order goes through.
 
All kinds of problems conspired to prevent me from getting my Jet Black 7 order Before November last night...
But I have one "reserved" just Teasing me... ANYTHING
-Should I Cancel that one and go for the reservation?
Anything will surely be Faster, no??
What do I risk?

The reservation thing was a bad joke on the Apple customers. I got this same notice the first time I tried to purchase my 7. I immediately placed another order and my black 256 Plus went right through. Do not see why Apple was trying to connect to ATT when I was paying full price for a unlocked iPhone.

Sounds to me that ATT is going to try and charge an activation fee when you turn your device on so there is little doubt I will be removing that SIM card and inserting my existing. If this is so this is sleezy as it gets from the carrier as they are doing nothing and trying to collect money for it.
