Read down a little further on that page and it plainly says a iPhone ordered from the online store can not be returned to a retail store. I didn't know it either. I was going to take mine and get them to return it and then rebuy it under a different number. That's not going to work though.

Doggoneit, you're right. Is that why they give you 30 days to return? (or has that changed?)

btw, I have been on hold for about 3 hours with Apple.

Hell I'm still on hold with apple 3 1/2 hrs and counting. Now it's 1am est and I'm hoping they don't close the que for the night.....
 
I checked my order status and it's in processeing mode. Says delivers 9/19. Does that date stay the same when it goes into shipping? And am I good on everything else? I've been charged for both the phones already.

I finally got picked up so when you hear a phone ringing, get ready.
The woman did not know about how you cannot return a phone to the store if you bought it from apple.com. Now maybe you can exchange it for a different color, etc. she said.

She also said if you have the reservation and you don't change anything - same phone, color, etc. - you will get the delivery that it said when you reserved... not sure about that because others here have said differently.

My situation is I have proof I was there early, first thing last night, but they couldn't contact ATT so I got the reservation email like most of you. I then was able to get on the site and buy the phone I wanted - but for a Oct 1-6 date. My reservation is for a silver, not the gold I wanted because it said (earlier) that I couldn't get that (which was not true).

That is on a different line and I haven't processed it all the way yet.

So for staying on the phone for 3 hours tonight and teaching the rep something, she moved my date up to Sept 29-oct 2. I appreciate that but of course it is not first thing - 19th - which is what I can prove I was there for (with the res).

So be polite and you might get a case like the other person or a slight move up. she was adamant she couldn't move it up any more than that.
ADDED: I decided to buy the second phone for my other line and it magically had the shipping date now listed as the 19th, which is what it originally said - but then changed - and now it's right. So my six hours were not wasted.

"Shipping in 7-10 days" - Having the Reservation and shipping time guaranteed?

First time I did the pre-order, issues with Apple/ATT site. Only thing that worked (sort of) was the Apple Store App..I guess I wasn't alone with this 24 hours ago. I did chug along with the order for the Space Gray 64GB 6 Plus, even stated "Shipped 9/19 or pick up in store" - pretty psyched...THEN the app crashed!

Long story short, Started over, I got the reservation # (starting with B101E), email FINALLY came at 5:54am ET, completed the order - but no more 9/19 ship date - it stated it will ship "7-10 Business Days, Arrival Time Oct 1-6"

My question to anyone who may have had these "reservations" before - who has done the iPhone pre-order in the past, is that shipping time locked in, a guaranteed date? (I know NOTHING is 100% guaranteed) just wondering about your experience in the past with shipments.

Like all of us, I can't wait to get my hands on this bad boy. :D

I got a credit card auth from Apple.com showing up on my AMEX card so I would take that to mean the order went through, I would check that.

That's what I have also dated 9/12 on my credit card - shows 4 Transactions / Authorizations for $0.00. I was wondering if they charged me yet for the phone, but I guess they charge once the item goes from Processing to a Shipped status.
 
Anyone getting an error saying "Important Information" and that you have to pick up the phone in the store? I'm having an infuriating time, my reservation is guaranteed until 12n EST but it won't allow me to go all the way through (which I was able to see once) and buy the phone. I'm told I need to pay a deposit on my phone, even though its just an upgrade.

The 1-800 APPLE # has been an incredible waste of time as they claim to have no knowledge or expertise to solve the issue. Any suggestions or am I out of luck?
 
Entering reservations directly, mine will only show up using my Sprint PIN I used. It can't find the res using the SS# just FYI.

I log in using AppleID and it shows up though.

I have the same issue. I had got one reservation number.. but I didn't do a screen shot then. Because I kept getting carrier error when attempting to pre-order. So, I tried again.. And got a reservation number.. I did a screen shot then. But the date was 9/19 when I tried.. but it's pushed back to 10/1-10/7. I'm hoping there's a way to find the first one... maybe that will give me the 9/19 date. I wonder could Apple find my reservation number by my zip code & last digit of my SSN.. Anyone know of this?

I've been trying since 10am ET yesterday to retrieve my reservation, and get nothing...have called 4 times with 4 different responses from Apple...I ended up ordering a 6 (my resv was for a 6+) as I didn't want to wait a month + for the phone...

And yes, I recognize that the previous paragraph ('they screwed me over, lost my res, etc.', then 'I ordered a product from them anyway') shows the hold Apple has on us (well, me anyway!)....:apple: All hail the Apple....
 
well, I held off until just now because the reservation was under a different line that I wanted to use for an upgrade.

anyhow, it went through without a hitch. 6+ 64GB Gold for 9/19 delivery

I'm not going to worry about it. Seems there is plenty of people who had reserved iPhones that didn't successfully go through the entire process. I plan on just trying my luck Friday... this has been a chaotic release..

Not to cause you any concern, but I had a single $0.00 charge from Apple followed immediately by a charge for the full amount of my pre-ordered iPhone 6 Plus.

You may want to try to verify?
 
So I'm chatting with a rep right now. So anyone who had 9/19 when you got your reservation and the date changed (even thought it was supposed to remain 9/19), this is why apparently.

I said screw the Reservation# that would not process, not even for the reps at Apple.

I went to the App Store app and purchased a phone on that same number and it was processed start to finish in under 30 seconds. It says it ships in 7-10 days but I am hoping it is delivered on the 19th after all the reservation holds are released.

That is BS. My phone is set to be delivered on Friday. This one was the wife's. Wife is not happy.

I'm getting this same issue and I can't get ANY information about why this is happening from Verizon OR Apple. Verizon confirms everything is up to date, no errors, then calling Apple they blame it as a carrier message and to contact them. I'm beyond frustrated at this point. Spent 1 1/2 hours the other morning to try and order, then another two with customer service from both companies this morning still with NO reason as to why this is happening.

I am upgrade eligible and ONLY getting this message on the line that is eligible for contract. The other two are able to process through their store fine. Same message happening even when I'm not using the reservation number. This is absolutely ridiculous.

Anything you guys have heard??
 
What is there to do if you can't complete your reservation because it's not found? I'm watching this thing expires in less than an hour :mad:

It's weird. I was able to go into that site that morning with the reservation# before they sent me the 2nd email to complete the order. What's worse is Apple has not acknowledged the issue and offer any kind of resolution.
