Mine is week 41 as well, I can still hear the hiss, it's just up to what frequencies your ears can hear. Yours probable hisses too, but you are unable to hear it (which is a good thing :)). Visit my topic to see what I noticed. Click here

How do you trigger the hissing?

"Hissing" has been used to describe both the noise that emanates from the device when it is under heavy load, and the noise during playback of a video recorded with the device. To trigger the former (a variable static and/or crackling noise) try running Geekbench 4 and Speedtest. Some users need to put the device to an ear in order to hear it while others can hear it more than a feet away.

And why did my phones awkward noises when I was at work while my phone was sitting next to me doing nothing?

Maybe its NOT the cpu?

Week 41 here for me too, as I stated earlier in the thread. The static noise recorded in video is much more troublesome than the hissing. The funny thing is that I cannot hear this noise while listening to said video with headphones.

if you have to put it up to your ear to be able to hear to even notice it then that's ok but to hear white noise in video is fustrating, but ask yourself how many videos will you be doing in total silience, my phone is just like yours but I'm to afraid to try for better cause with apple you never know what your gonna get, one thing is for sure apple has got a lot of explaining to do.

I'm chatting with Apple Support right now about this issue and the fact that I get a similar sound during phone calls. Could it be due to the beta?
