What about the iPhone 5 would have been different if Steve was alive?

I thought iPhone 5 was Steve's last project?

I don't think there will be much changes to the 5 even if he were still alive. Maybe NFC?
 
Maps. Not that he wouldnt have gotten rid of Google, because he would have. But he would have made sure it was A) ready or B) the same as now with no apology, instead saying that if you want Google Maps, get an Android
 
Honestly, I was expecting an entire aluminum back that curved similar to the iPad 3.

The hard edges just don't do it for me, although I love the phone.
 
I don't know about the iPhone but they keynote would have been better.
Tim was a snooze fest during the keynote.

Steve's iPhone 5 was freakin awesome. Then he died and apple decided make it not so cool. If they would have just used Steve's version we'd all have REALLY amazing devices in our hands right now. I'm so pissed.

I'm with the others who think this was Steve's last project. I actually take it one step further and think this is the phone they wanted to build instead of the 4S. Last year we kept hearing rumors about a redesign but never saw a leak. I think they were trying to build the uni-body iPhone and were having trouble and had to go with the 4S instead. I'm starting to really love the 5. it feels perfect. I'm less thrilled with iOS 6 but I'll wait for the first update to fix the bugs.
 
Any problems with the phone would be because users were doing it wring.

I was wondering what exactly is your motivation for making that comment? What is the reason or in fact, your reasoning. What is your point of view on all these things... And why all the aggressive comments against my people?

It is pretty obvious what my statement meant. If you can't figure out from my comment that some people are in love with mr jobs and will never admit he wasn't a god. And would probably be willing to do anything in his name. Cult like if you ask me.

And what do you mean by your people? Are you some kind of self appointed dictator for a group of people? You think so highly of yourself that you created a group of "your people" do they know about this and that you are speaking on their behalf?

Aren't we all people? Are you segregating yourself along with a group of people?

I think I am beginning to understand your point of view. You, based on your point of view, believe it is cult like behavior. You used the phrase: "that's cult behavior if you ask me."

Well I was asking you. And I'm glad I did because now I understand your opinions and where they are coming from better!

But I think there is a grey area.

Not everything has to be binary.

For example: Cult or complete indifference.

The middleground might be something along the lines of seeing a reflexion of oneself in the character of Steve Jobs, it's a symbolic meta-relationship between people, certain character patterns, and technology itself -or at least the recent history of computernomics.

All in all I think your Beatles song based on a Bob Dylan song screenname is telling. Your brain has a certain noir sensibility, and you tend to skip steps in the chain of logic at the behoovement of your character and ego to caricaturise everything so you don't feel the pain and hardships of reality, instead you have created your own alternate.

Why does everyone assume Steve Jobs wouldn't have issued an apology over Maps? Anyone remember the $100 credit during the first iPhone price cut? Or the iMac order issues? iPhone 4 website outage? There are also a few other moments under Steve Jobs that Apple issued public apologies. While "antennagate" wasn't the most forth coming of an apology from Steve he still made good in terms of $100 million in cases/bumpers. So for everyone saying Steve Jobs wouldn't have apologized for Maps. I've got 5-6 to prove otherwise. But really no one knows. He is dead. He can't answer and neither can any of you.

Lol so I say something that is too complex for you to understand so your reaction is I'm crazy? Isn't that like a blind man calling people who can see as freaks with eyes?

Don't let knowledge and wisdom put fear in your heart. You shouldn't be afraid o Inteligence, instead you should embrace it and revere it.

If someone says something smart, try to open your mind and understand and learn from them, not try to try to demonize science and psychology. The more we understand one another the more we understand ourselves.

Let us not judge one another. We all have a right to be free and be into what we want to be into. There is no right or wrong.

I don't agree with you. There is right and wrong. Does me having this opinion make be wrong in your mind. Don't understand you? How can I understand someone you describing me as if he knows anything about me when in fact you know nothing. And think from a few words you have come to understand me? That has nut job written all over it.

Again who are your people? Why won't you say?

Lemme guess, you're right, everyone else is wrong, right?

Trust me, I know your type. Just because, with your limited experiences, you cannot figure people out quickly doesn't mean there dont exist people out there who can figure someone out within 5 minutes of meeting them, or in my case, within 25 seconds or less, and it also doesn't mean we are crazy. We are just more perceptive of details and patterns. You'd be surprised what I can predict. You'd be surprised how smart some people can become to where it almost gives the illusion of being omnipotent.

Like psychics and stuff like that, they make a living off that.

In a way Steve Jobs had those powers when it came to reading people. That's why he had the best people at apple and it shows in its success.

And no I won't elaborate about what I meant by "my people"

I'm not a Beatles or bob Dylan fan nor am I familiar with either of their song catalogues.
So from the get go you have been way off base. You're brilliant in your own mind it seams. Or maybe with in the confines of your imaginary people that you proudly spoke for, but are yet to reveal what group they are.

Alright back on track.

I think with Steve around this would be the case:

1. No quality control problems. I didn't believe the scuffs were that big a deal until I got served a dented phone out of the box and others in line did too.
2. The design would be different.
3. The screen would not be tall and skinny like it is. It would be slightly wider and taller.
4. The physical size of the iPhone would be very close to the iPhone 4S.
5. The phone would be lighter and thinner like it is.
