Engineer. Had a Series 2 Nike that I recently put aside in favor of a Gear Sport.
2 Original Gold Editions (38mm & 42mm), Original SS, Series 2 Ceramic Edition, Series 2 SS, Series 2 Nike, Series 3 Edition (gray ceramic), Series 3 SS (Space Black), Series 3 Nike and over 100 Apple bands.
Part time custodian at MacDonald's.
Apple Watch Series 3+LTE 38mm: Medical Doctor (Residency)*
I have a S0 as well. Apple Watch is/was great for tracking steps when walking around multiple hospitals, and tracking my heart rate during extraordinarily stressful situations, and just in general.
My Timex, Seiko, Bulova, Rolex, and Audemars cannot do those things.

Series 3, GPS, Pilot
Anyone else rarely use their mechanical watches anymore? I mean I have these gorgeous mechanical watches and they just sit in my jewelry box, maybe worn a few times a year. One will be worn this Easter Sunday at church, but right after church I will switch back to my Apple Watch. Honestly thinking about selling either my Rolex or Audermars. Kind of sad!

How is the change from the series 2 to the Gear sport????
Was a bit of a change but didn't take long to get used to it. The ring and battery life are the big two benefits rights now. Software messed up the altimeter accuracy. Outside of that, I find it to be a better bit of tech than the AW 2.
Oh and the setup time, the GS was a couple of minutes where the AW2 was quite a bit longer.
Yeah I have recently switched to the Note 8, and brought the Gear sport. I do miss my iPhone and Apple Watch so it seems or maybe I still haven't adjusted to the Note 8.
Either way I contemplated buying new iPhone and Watch. I returned my sport and started using the S3 frontier thinking I would like a bigger heavier Watch but the sport was nice. Seems this android/Samsung has way to many settings or maybe Inam just use to the Apple simplicity.
I might be returning soon.....

No sense in having LTE huh?

I HATE flying.

Seems all those nice expensive watches are a thing of the past. No one even goes for MOvado or tag anymore either.
I never activated the LTE, I just don't see the point. I always run with my iPhone in a waist belt (have for a decade) and I don't see myself stopping (having the iPhone with me is just too valuable, I run on overnights all over the country and outside the country, having a FULL iPhone is useful to me on the runs if I need to look something up etc.) anytime soon so LTE in the watch is a bit meaningless. I'm just never without the phone. That said I love the look of the SS models and the SB SS just doesn't ever scratch so between that and the sapphire it was worth the extra $$$$ to me.

I still see plenty of Rolex / Omega and niche mechanical watches and think you will see them forever. What I do think is vanishing is the mid-priced, non-collector watches from Tag, Moved and others.
