For all of those that keep the Contacts App on the first page, I have a question: why?

Isn't there a list of your contacts in your Phone App? How often do you really use the Contacts App? Isn't it redundant?

Because to me, it just feels unnatural to go into the "phone" to email someone, or look up an address.

Unless I'm calling someone on my favorites list, I almost always dial through the contacts app. I know, I'm weird :p

I have pretty much all of the standard apps on the first page except Contacts. The only two non-standard apps that made it on the first page are Cydia and Facebook.

Ok, a few questions.....

it serves a separate purpose.....one that you can't do with the phone contact button. see HERE

The Remote app is pretty cool, although I didn't wake up on time today because of it.. Turned off my iTunes alarm from bed and continued sleeping :)

It sure is. I never wake up in time either but it's not because of the iPhone

I wonder why nobody has thought of an automator-like alarm application for Remote.

1. Set the wake-up time
2. Launch Remote or iPod app
3. Start playing music through shared or iPhone library
4. Wake up while listening to your favorite tune.

Wow, thanks for pointing that out, because I was already wondering how the hell I am supposed to save a contact while talking with somebody :)

Exactly! Something like awaken only for the iPhone

The google app, now that it has voice recognition has replaced a few things.

Of course I need twitterrific and Facebook ;)
and Things is the absolute best GTD app.

Keep all my means of communication on the bottom dock, and the rest are my most used apps.

Yes, I know about that (but it's good you linked to that thread for others).

But how often does that really happen to you?

On a side note, I'm starting to think that I'll be jailbreaking very soon. Some really cool themes on display here! That Picnic one is very cool!
