Incorrect, Asimov had a PHD in biology

Biochemistry. Which I'm sure he didn't think was simple, either.
Rather, it's an extraordinarily complex subject which I would argue can't ever be fully mastered.

I completely agree. I know some physiotherapists and exercise physiologists who are capable of some truly amazing things, and it never ceases to amaze me how vast a field of knowledge it is.

The weather fascinates me, I absolutely love it when a storm comes along. Mountains also fascinate me, just absolutely love them. Forests possibly fascinate me the most, they're just amazing. You can bike in them, explore them, take shelter in them, smell them, they look amazing, I always find myself at home when I'm in a forest.

What am I fascinated by?

My slowly growing pregnant wife.

She's so petite, it's so amazing to see the bump grow every day.

If you see her from the back, you wouldn't even know she's pregnant!

I was just wandering what fascinates everyone.

For me its big structures i don't know why but they do.

For example Michigan Central Station i hope to go there one day.

So what fascinates you?

Where are you from? If/When you go there, make sure you don't go alone, I went by it couple years ago, kind of a rough neighborhood. I hope to go there soon, it is my favorite building, hopefully it doesn't get torn down, like many historical buildings in Detroit where by the former mayor.

Many things fascinate me, how amazing a hot shower and soap feel, three weeks of cold showers, even in Africa made me appreciate hot showers.

Being a Ph.D. meteorology student in Oklahoma, I am fascinated by severe/extreme weather of all kinds, whether that be lightning, thunderstorms, hail, derechos, tornados, hurricanes, blizzards, etc.

My area of focus is numerical techniques to represent atmospheric motions in the boundary layer (i.e. I mess with code that predicts the weather near the surface). So I am fascinated by the exponential progress made in this field over even the past decade. I am equally fascinated by mother nature's ability to flip us the bird and confound our models.

Repeated Slate and iPhone 4G threads. :p :D

Seriously, some stuff about those nuclear activity in Iran. The thought of being blown up by that thing gives me the shivers. :(

Old bridges. The architecture is really cool and unique. They have character, unlike most modern bridges. A real old nostalgic feel. Plus, they're often in great surroundings. :)

One of my favorites, in my home county.
