I saw Bruce Springsteen's Born in the USA on LP available at my local Target. Almost picked it up (would have been my first vinyl....and i dont have a turn-table).

Do what I did. Accidentally buy an LP from Amazon when you thought you clicked CD and keep the LP instead of returning it. Think to yourself, "I'll hold on to it for now and maybe someday I'll buy a turntable." I did that and after about a year I bought a turntable and now I'm in the process of buying LP's from discogs.com and having lots of fun.

Thanks. I never had anywhere to put the sleeves when I was listening to a record, except to pile it on top of the CD's or a speaker, or just put it away. While browsing /r/vinyl I saw a few others who put up a little shelf like that and thought it was a good idea.

I dig it and I am in the same boat, they go on top or somewhere else. I think this is what I am going to do!

Matisyahu - Jerusalem (Out of Darkness Comes Light)
Reggae. Beautiful video. Powerful lyrics.
I'm a big fan of his earlier work, specifically Live at Stubb's.

Supertramp: The Very Best Of Supertramp: School, Goodbye Stranger, The Logical Song, Ruby, Breakfast In America, (as it happens, I also have that album, but in vinyl), Take The Long Way Home, Crime Of The Century, Dreamer, It's Raining Again, and Cannonball.

Love Supertramp - Great Music - inspirational

saw them in concert 4 times - wow each time

Crime of the Century Concert - was hard to beat

Must now invest in Breakfast In America in CD format - as it is an excellent album; that album in vinyl - much beloved - and very much played is still in its place on the shelves devoted to LPs, chateau moi.

I'm impressed and envious that you managed to get to see them play live four times; wow.

The Police... tracks from Synchronicity. Always liked them for trying to take punk somewhere else (and taking some flak for it lol). Anyway was looking something up for a post elsewhere and remembered I do like some of these tracks for summer listening.

Hey there mighty brontosaurus
Don't you have a message for us.
You thought your rule would always last
There were no lessons in your past.
You were built three stories high
They say you would not hurt a fly
If we explode the atom bomb,
Would they say that we were dumb.

Walking in your footsteps,
Walking in your footsteps.
Walking in your footsteps,
Walking in your footsteps.

Fifty million years ago
They walked upon the planet so
They live in a museum
It's the only place you'll see 'em

On to some instrumentals. Here, a jazz cover of Reckoner, from Radiohead's album In Rainbows. The track is from Robert Glasper's album simply titled Covered. Perfect in the warm breeze of a summer afternoon. To paraphrase one of the commenters: If they knew what certain music does to you, they would make it illegal.
