I saw Bruce Springsteen's Born in the USA on LP available at my local Target. Almost picked it up (would have been my first vinyl....and i dont have a turn-table).
The Bob Clearmountain production is strong with that one
Folks love misinterpreting the lyrics on the title track all the time
The Annie Leibovitz cover got some folks in a tizzy too
Buy it just for the cultural baggage that goes with it :D

The Songs of Distant Earth - Mike Oldfield
Oh you son of a gun you! Holy ****ing ****. I've been trying to think of this album for at least 15 years now. I remembered the enhanced disc for the Mactinosh. I remember the stupid game you had to play to open up the contents of the disc. I kept asking around and people would ask me if I was sure I hadn't experienced a dream or was on drugs during the period I claimed I'd seen it.

It feels so good to know the answer years later. The last time I tried looking it up again was this past December and I got nowhere. I always thought or rather remembered it being a game and would read through games on Macintosh computers from 1989 to 1998 because I wasn't completely sure when I played the CD.

Edit: I doubt anyone under a certain age is going to know what this is about or they'll think I'm drunk on scotch. This is amazing. This is why I always check in this thread in the hopes some other old Macintosh user would have a copy and play it.

Although I prefer their earlier work (Sonic Temple is a masterpiece), Beyond Good and Evil by The Cult is a really solid record. So that's what I'm listening to at the moment.

A bit of Coldplay this weekend, but think it might be Snow Patrol today at work.

You can never go wrong with Coldplay.

Kavinsky - Protovision
Still discovering this artist and came across this one. A mesmerizing music video to go along with it (not a fan of the ending tho).
@Scepticalscribe... i reckon you'll like this one.

I want a Testarossa now.

Thanks very much for sharing - much appreciated - and yes, I do like it.

Actually, I used to (well, still do) love some of the instrumental pieces on Miami Vice (the music composed by Jan Hammer).

**** yeah!

One song streaming as of today from the new album. 10:21 in length too. The whole album is supposed to have 8 songs and over 85 minutes long I think.

I already placed my pre-order on Amazon for the CD. $44.98!

https://loudwire.com/tool-fear-inoculum-video-screen-speakers/
According to an official description of Fear Inoculum, the limited edition CD “includes a CD in a tri-fold Soft Pack Video Brochure featuring a 4" HD rechargeable screen with exclusive video footage, a USB charging cable, a 2 watt speaker and a 36 page insert book and MP3 download card.”
