Best Angry Songs, first Rush, my favorite bluesey rock song, it’s a great work of art, followed by Alanis Morrissette, a powerful projection of betrayal and emotion, punctuated with profanity which is required for full impact, imo. There is no doubt that the human voice is the most powerful musical instrument known.

prog rock into digressions...

TLDR ...

I was listening to Yes in 1972, freshman in college, when they were only on FM Stations. This was when AM ruled and they were not yet carried on AM pop stations. My introduction was:

Ahhh - the 70s in college when FM radio was a thing
My yessongs album was excellent for cleaning the stems and seeds out of the cheap marijuana we could find back then :)
Shout out to WXRT in Chicago

Steve Perry / Journey 👍 - incredible creativity and vocals - saw Journey twice in Calgary in the 80's - escape show was fantasic / magic / blew me away to see Steve Perry sing in person - That said, I don't get the angry songs in terms of Journey?

On the other hand Alanis Morrissette always had a an aggressive edge and even angry tone in her music - but in a good way - incredible vocalist and forged her own genre with such a unique sound - amazing artist

My favorite Alanis Morrissette tune out of many would be Ironic - not quite angry - but close

Best Angry Songs,

I like this theme for a new play list - I have playlists for lots of different moods and emotions and somehow never thought of an "Angry Playlist" cool idea - Heavy Rock is often rebel oriented - Billy Idol comes to mind , and The Tubes - "Talk to ya Later"

That Said, Here are 2 (angry) songs from a little known Canadian band "Coney Hatch" that never quite got the audience they should have been able to - great musicians - great heavy rock performers - got to see them many times - mostly at "Frankie and Johnnys" Calgary - back in the 80's

Great Angry Lyrics and some awesome angry guitar solos 😡 👹

@redshifted: Some great tracks, I especially love both Jethro Tull and Supertramp, but 10 links in one post take an age to load.
Shrug - this thread page (up to your reply) takes about 5 sec to load using my mediocre 100-ish MB/s connection
Every page on this thread takes about that long to load for me
I prefer links to music tracks that we can all listen to (or ignore) vs. folks just listing song titles
I don't understand the point of posting to this thread without music links anyway

I hang my head in shame
Feel free to report this terribly transgressive posting behavior
You may want to evaluate your caffeine intake levels though

Angry Song: Whose That Girl?

Moderator Note:

Could you folks please try and limit the YT vids to a couple per post. More than that seems to really kill the thread load speed. Thanks and everybody have a good week!

Hahaha, I loaded this thread and my fans kicked on !

Maybe using an audio streaming link? I guess for selected tracks that has to be a pay account (from the various services ...[?])

Angry Song

Hahaha, yes, we do a lot of thematic playlists (in additional to artist-centric ones). A favorite of ours is pretty dark, a lot of jolly serial killer tunes and such :D

Here's a few samples for your angry listening pleasure :) I love the happy pop vibe of the second two, hahaha ...

Trying this with Spotify, let me know if it doesn't work for you ... also these tracks tends to have NSFW lyric content

@Weaselboy Let me know if that's too many and/or if it's a better way to share music content ... !
