Awesome Song / Soundtrack - Lisa Gerrard / Peter Bourke - 💕
Could not agree more! That's two of Russell Crowe's movies where a truly inspirational, awesome song was used:

1. Now We Are Free in "Gladiator" (non-movie, live version):

2. Sacrifice in "The Insider" (again, non-movie, live version):

Speaking of "Sacrifice", here's a completely different "version" of it, but sung in awesome fashion by Elton John:

It's one of my favorite Elton John songs!

Keith Mansfield - Funky Fanfare
Chill jazzy/funky tune
(Off the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood soundtrack)

Friday night is jazz night here, yea even in the time of the coronavirus. So Brazilian jazz singer/composer Luciana Souza's song cycle Neruda is up first for me tonight. She has translated ten of the Chilean poet's poems and sings them in English, having set them for voice, keyboard and percussion to music based on Songs and Dances, a work for piano by Catalan composer Federico Mompou Dencuasse.

This has not been the only time Luciana Souza has brought poets' works to chamber jazz. An album from 2018 titled The Book of Longing includes settings of poems by Christina Rosetti, Emily Dickinson, Leonard Cohen and Edna St. Vincent Millay. Also a 2000 album, The Poems of Elizabeth Bishop and Other Songs.

Here is the poem We are Many from the Neruda song cycle.

Tonight is Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro streaming from the Vienna State Opera. This is an HD video broadcast.

The Metropolitan Opera (NYC) is also streaming archive HD performances. Tonight should be Götterdämmerung ("Twilight of the Gods"), the finale of Wagner's four-opera Der Ring des Nibelungen epic. This is the same performance that was released on Blu-ray video.

Tomorrow night will be the Vienna State Opera's stream of the same opera, concluding their Ring cycle, their four operas spread out over two weeks rather than the Met's four-night marathon.

Two of the best opera companies in the world are putting their performances up for free for basically anyone who has an Internet connection. COVID-19 has few positives but this is one of them.

Just came up on my favourite playlist in Apple music, from the Scottish electronic duo Boards of Canada with their dreamlike peice and superb video. The clip start with Colonel Kittinger's amazing at the time highest skydive in 1960 where he leapt from a ballon at 102,800 feet (31,300 m) - later broken by Felix Baumgartner - then went surfing (actually no).

OK, this is going to be a little long, but just saw some videos of a 9 year old gal and her awesome voice!

1. My Heart Will Go On - Celine Dion Live:

My wife and I have seen her 3 times: Twice in Las Vegas, and once near home, in Tacoma. Awesome voice! Also, anyone who sees her perform will definitely feel warmth in their heart.

But this 9 year old, Celine Tam, is incredible also:

Boy, with these current "isolated" days, would just love to see a duet by Celine Dion and Celine Tam singing this truly wonderful song!

2. How Do I Live Without You - Trisha Yearwood:

Too bad she has passed away, but such a wonderful voice and song (and was used at the end of the movie "Con Air").

But once again, Celine Tam does it wonderful also (same video as above for her):

Man, a 9 year old with a voice like hers!

As far as I know, Trisha Yearwood is very much alive. Just checked Wikipedia and IMDb.
