My apologies if this has already been posted.

More from The Stranglers: Waltzinblack (which used to be the theme music/soundtrack for Keith Floyd's cookery programme.).

Followed by Strange Little Girl, No More Heroes, La Folie, Walk On By, Don't Bring Harry, Peaches and Cruel Garden.

And - concluding with, yes - the timeless Golden Brown. Nothing wrong with listening to a classic twice in one day.

Great tunes. Always enjoyed Keith Floyd as well. "A glass of wine into the pot and a glass or two or three for the chef" I was in London a few weeks ago and was pleased to see that some very old segments of is very early shows (1970's I think) were featured on BBC's Saturday Kitchen or James Martin's newish Sunday show.

Agreed.

However, while I loved some of their earlier tracks (No More Heroes, especially - those keyboards), despite the edgy stuff of their earlier music, it was with the release of the hauntingly melodic (and brilliant) Golden Brown - effortlessly capturing that raffish, but seedy, and slightly louche, atmosphere of places such as colonial circles in Egypt in that period between the late 20s, the 30s and late 50s - that prewar world of The English Patient and also found in some of the writing of Somerset Maugham, there are still echoes, or shades of that atmosphere to be had in some corners of the world, such as Raffles in Singapore, or the Stanley Hotel in Nairobi, you will find a few such places in India, as well, - that they came into their own, with their own unique sound, and not just something derived from the anger of punk adored by brilliant keyboards.

So I've tried to move out of the '90's which in my opinion its the ultimate political punk, I've also cut back on the riot grrrl punk. This has lead me to the realization that all the good punk post 2005 is all female all the time so how about a little Bombpops real skate punk, some clear politics, and all real.

Some generally angry millennials..please get Z ladies if you like reddit at all we could use some riot grrrl don't let the X ladies (your moms) own this genre we are the new boomers and we need a good F*ck you.

Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro, full opera in HD video streaming for free from the Vienna State Opera.

Tomorrow night will be La Bohème, also from the Vienna State Opera.

New York's Metropolitan Opera has also been streaming archived performances and the Bavarian State Opera has some offerings as well.

Starting tomorrow, the Salzburg Easter Festival will commence streaming a new opera every other day through Easter since their actual festival was cancelled.

Sunday evening will be difficult choice between Die Walküre from Salzburg or Elektra from Vienna. Likely I will fire up Salzburg first since Christian Thielemann is the conductor. I might start early and watch back to back. Walküre is long, Elektra is short, but it's probably close to eight hours, an opera marathon! The forecast calls for rain anyhow.
