I like this a lot thanks.Cool
Here is one I love - and changed my music paradigm - suggested to me by son - I was rocked when heard that riff
Live at Beacon Theatre with Beth hart. She sings 'I'll take care of you' wonderfully so much control and expression in her voice then he cuts in with a breathtaking solo at the end.Stumbled across Driving Towards the Daylight a couple of days ago. It's rare for me to like an entire album; but I pretty much like this entire album.
This is one of my favorite cuts:
Molly Tuttle -
The voice and that picking hand really are out of this world
Here is another 💕 . . . .
Johannes Brahms Hungarian Dances. Fantastic pieces
Oh what I'd give to have that Martin. And to be able to play it the way she does.
Mission of Burma, their album The Obliterati (2006). Goes swimmingly well w/ my early attempts to accommodate the presence of MacOs Catalina and its apps on some of my gear.
She makes it look easy - never had a chance to play a guitar like that - I wonder if the "Vintage" guitars are really any better than new modern specs, at any rate it sure sounds great when she plays it 👍
She really does, and it really does.
I've played a few guitars that were on the expensive side, and there is always a point beyond which the quality of the instrument is probably not a factor anymore, things like the name on the headstock will carry more weight than actual playability. Which (the playability) will most probably be great, don't get me wrong, but I sometimes do wonder if a 3000 dollar / euro / whathaveyou instrument is 10 times better than a 300 <currency> guitar. In my experience, 9 times out of ten no. But then again, things like this have at least as much to do with feelings than they do with pragmatic facts. And I'm fine with that, if I had the cash I'd line my walls with guitars so nice I'd be afraid to play them.
