Wrong is a very subjective term pal. Just because you are anti social doesn't mean that music is, or that people who like rock music are. The very existence of this thread proves otherwise. Many of us from all over the world come here to post and share our music, no matter what the genre, with each other. That in and of itself makes it social. So, as I said, the word "wrong" is a very subjective term, and in this case, I believe that it's you who is wrong.

A small minority of the early rock artist‘s wrote lyrics to their music that promoted anti societal norms and behavior, but that still does not make rock music in and of itself anti social. The vast majority of music, including rock, is anything but anti social. As I said, and maintain, music is a very social and universally understood language that draws people of diverse cultures, ethnicities, and races together….making music probably the most used and shared medium on the planet, which by itself makes music by nature…..social.

Your turn to prove me wrong;)

Rock & roll is rebellious by it's nature. Rebels are anti-social.

Having a HOF for it is simply ludicrous (so foolish, unreasonable, or out of place as to be amusing; ridiculous.)

I was embarrassed for Cheap Trick and Steve Miller when they were inducted. They were a bunch of old men complaining about how long it took them to get or the price of admission.

This is a moot point. Respond all you want I won't be see your replies. pees out.

I think that - in its time, when first heard, created, composed, performed - Rock & Roll was extraordinarily rebellious (as jazz had been, and, as the waltz had been also in its era - people dancing closely face to face, when previous fashions had them dancing side by side, as indeed, had also been the case with the music of both Ludwig van Beethoven and W A Mozart when first heard) and had been viewed (especially by social and cultural commentators, older generations, and the young thheselves) as such.

But, with success, and acceptance, - and ageing audiences and ageing musicians and changing musical tastes - that changed, and R&R itself became more mainstream.
