I won't post the link, because I'm listening to the theme song from a TV show that I believe aired from the 60s through the 90s, or maybe even the 2000s, that has a pretty negative connotation/reputation. It's a good song though. I just don't want to get in trouble for posting the link though... Anyway, here's something by the same composer though, that I also like:

You might recognize the name—I posted another thing of his a few days ago. Different decade though I think.
This has that bouncy breezy optimism - a sort of signature tune for a new generation - that you find in a surprising number of TV theme songs from the 1960s, which I have long suspected was a deliberate repudiation of the lingering after effects of the wider socio-economic environment and culture that had derived from - and dated from - the WW2 era and had lasted well into the 50s.

Cornershop - When I Was Born For The 7th Time

Many people outside the UK may not be aware of this fine band. Give them a listen.

Yeah, that appears to be a common quality among 60s/70s TV themes. Although the ones I'm looking at are strictly from British TV shows, but I'll bet American TV themes from around then were somewhat similar, although I could be wrong. Although these (that I was listening to) have a unique quality that I can't put a name to, but just something about it makes it "seem" British, especially being from a British label... although that might just be what's drilled into my brain, because I'm from the US, but also I'm pretty unfamiliar with such TV shows.

For Neil Young fans. Just released bootleg of his 1977 bar band based in Santa Cruz. The group was active for only three months. All four members performed lead vocals and contributed songs.

Phillip Glass' "I. Opening" from Glassworks, which I just printed the sheet music for and I'm starting to learn, it's harder than it sounds with the 2 against 3 between the left and right hands, but I quickly got the hang of it!

This has to be at the top of charts in the passionate, beautiful, emotional songs category:

I first heard it on Shrek... 🙃
If you want variety, here are 50 versions of this song with links. If not mistaken the Shrek version sung by John Cale is placed at the top by many:

This reminds me of the 60s...
