iLife 10 wants

1. 64 bit
2. Garageband, more lessons
3. Keynote, a PC viewer so it is easier with the other users, keynote is great, but can't show on those "other computers"
4. iPhoto speed
5.iMovie, more formats

I basically like the iLife 09, I have used All of them. Also I am hoping on a Aperture 3 release and integration on the iPad.

can't wait!!!:)

I remember when they were planning iLife '09, I was expecting iMovie to be like this:

I think in the next version of iLife, iMovie should be like this:

* Retain the ease-of-use interface, skimming, the video library, etc. from the previous version.
* Add the ability to create DVD chapter marks for iDVD export.
* Add some more transitions and title templates.
* Include some basic video filters/effects (such as fast/slow, old film, sepia, solarize, etc.)
* Maybe even throw in a few themes like iMovie HD 6 had.
* Include an automated movie-creation wizard like iMovie HD had, as well as many competing Windows editors have (such as Pinnacle Studio and Adobe Premiere Elements).
* Add rubber band-style audio editing for music and other audio files. Maybe even do a window switch thing in the edit bay for "audio editing mode," like Corel VideoStudio has.
* Add support for Pinnacle's Video Capture for Mac! This could come in handy for those with the regular aluminum MacBook and want to edit video from an old analog camcorder or VCR.

See, that way the program still remains easy to use and can make movies quickly, and includes more power for those who want to do more with their videos without having to download iMovie HD 6!

So far, iMovie '09 included all of this except for the last three.

I definitely expect 64-bit integration, and I hope for a lot of iWeb improvements. I really dislike the idea of taking out iWeb for a blogging system of some sort because I use it to keep up my band website. Another improvement would be integrate pretty much everything on iWebUnlimited.com, those would all be very welcome. Another option would be to have an HTML view rather than just HTML snippets. I know that most people won't use that view and might confuse them but none the less it would be great for those of us who know how to code. And some new template options. All the ones that Apple has are for personal websites which most people don't have. iWeb to me seems to fill the nitch of people who are creating sites for groups but don't want to hire someone or buy a program for it. So gear it more towards that.

I really hope that iPhoto gets native support for AVCHD. It's a great format but unusable on a Mac. More and more photocameras are supporting it. So it's time for iPhoto!

iWeb HTML editing capability

I'm hoping for the newest version of iWeb to incorporate HTML coding like Rapidweaver allows you to do, so you can edit the code directly if you want to without having to publish first, then edit the code (in Dreamweaver/TextEdit/etc.). That would speed up things TREMENDOUSLY as well as adding MUCH more customizability for users. I use iWeb for 3 website right now and if I didn't know Photoshop and basic HTML coding, they wouldn't look nearly as good as they do.

ALSO, I'd love the ability to save a design as a template, the ability to change the navigation font, color, size, and orientation, AND being able to tell a picture/link what it's alternate text should be (and that goes for the website too...instead of having just "Home" in the browser window, have it be "SeaLight Entertainment - Home" etc)

Thoughts?

Hold your horses Razeus:

iDVD may not be useful to you but speak for yourself.

I regularly use iDVD and I find it VERY useful for the price and level of expertise required to use it. Unlike you I don't have more than $1k to spend on Final Cut Pro and for my purposes it would be overkill.

I just hope Apple has enough sense to release a 64 bit rendering engine for their next release of iLife Suite.

64-bit
Cocoa API if it isn't already
More useful apps.
iWeb overhaul, because it's useless. The average person doesn't build their own webpages anymore. Perhaps change it to iBlog and give us blogging ability.
Better social networking with popular sites.
iDVD is useless. Get rid of it.

I would like to see some features on iWeb, like for example:

#1 I wanna be able to have my main website BUT everytime you access it thru the iphone or a mobile device it will load different pages automatically, i have my website already and i have a mobile version that loads fast and has big buttons and it's just very basic, so basically have an option to create a separate mobile website that's better to load on an iphone.
#2 an easier way to create your own templates, right from iWeb rather than modifying files.
#3 a way to turn a page into a blog rather than loading the blog template, just click "add blog" or "add photo albums" and so on
#4 adding tags for search engines would be nice
#5 more widgets:
- built in (with themes or customization) HTML5 music player that the user can also open on a separate window.
- a calendar widget for those who aren't on mobile me
- a "share this page" widget that will give you options to share your page and that you can customize
- a "join mailing list" option as well, maybe every time somebody goes on your site they can enter their e-mail to receive news letters and so on AND that address will automatically be loaded into a text file in the website that you can download whenever you need to so you can do the bulk emails yourself instead of paying for the service, even better would be the option to do the bulk mailing within iWeb (every time you load iWeb it automatically downloads that file with the email addresses and loads them into a mail new message.

thats just some of the features i'd love to see.
