u got a phone that is amazingly thin, just to put the defender on it to add back the bulk its loss and more? wow.

i got this btw, http://www.switcheasy.com/product/NUDE_iPhone5

This case looks really thin and protective- perfect for the iphone 5. Can you tell me your experience with it? Is it soft ? One thing I surely don't want in a case is the case getting stuck in my pant pocket because of the sticky material. (Like the iPhone 4 cases that were given away for free) its cheap too- yay

Also, any experience with the "colors" by speakeasy? The home button bump looks cool. Maybe unnecessary tho- who knows

Are there any good horizontal belt holsters for the iPhone 5???

Kind of like this:

Thanks a bunch to anyone who knows of a good one they can recommend that will fit the iPhone 5 :)

I'll be going naked to start. If I get a case I'll wait for Magpul if/when they make one. Had one for my 4S had absolutely loved it. Very very slim and great drop protection.

If you haven't used the New Otterbox cases then you shouldn't judge . Otterbox cases protect $700 to $1000 phones from daily abuse and just work. I have been using them for years and have never had a ding or scratch on any of my phones. Don't hate :D

That may be true but so would wrapping it in a large sponge. My point is those cases look horrendous and everytime I see an adult with one I think what is wrong with them? I understand getting one for your kids phone or people who work construction or other rough jobs but shouldn't an adult who is anal enough to want one careful enough to not need one?

For those who don't want to cover the gorgeous phone 5 with a form fitting case but could use a pouch/slipcase at times, try the Cellet Bergamo Case designed for the 4/4S. $6, leather (bonded), soft interior, vertical with a low profile belt clip, so it can fit in some pockets without being too bulky. IPhone 5 protrudes about .5 inch which is fine for me for quickly taking it out. Little loose fitting because of the thinness of the 5 vs 4/4S, but again that makes it easy to take out of the pouch in a hurry. Great purchase...

Rocket fish in clear. I got it to hold me over until I decided what I wanted but I really like it. Liked it better than any of the speck cases

Bought this yesterday, returning it today. It fits VERY loosely, and in 6 hours of walking with it in my pocket, it filled up with so much lint and dirt that it looks awful. No scratches thankfully, but not a good solution.

Just had a look at them and was wowed by how great they look! Are you happy with the case? Is it a hard shell, or more like a flexible silicon case? Do you reckon it's any good for impact protection?

do not buy. switcheasy emailed and said there is a defect in design. they are offering me a refund.

I think i'm going to get another Incipio Feather.

I've been using the same Feather case since i bought my iphone 4 launch day, then used it again for another year with my 4S.

its a great case for minimalists to simply ensure that you have better grip and get no scratches or shmootz on your phone when you put it down.

Then again, i've been really digging having no case at all...

Rocketfish soft in black from Best Buy. Surprisingly, the best case I have physically seen for the iPhone 5. Very thin, great fit and feel and only $22. Minor issue: wish camera opening would be smaller as not to partially show aluminum on back.

The 4S version is pretty horribly panned on Amazon. They say dirt gets in, it is WAY too loose.

I don't know about the 5 version but I canceled my order for this once I read the reviews.

----------

I have spent the last 5 iPhones without a case of any kind and always scoffed at the Otterbox.

I bought a Defender yesterday just to hold me over until I found something that was ultra low profile and/or stopped caring and keep going naked. I gotta say I love it.

The quality and feel of the Otterbox Defender is superb. Its won me over.

Speck Pixelskin HD FTW. Had one for my 4S and my 4 and it protected those phones from MANY drops. I got a cheap Belkin rubber skin until the Speck arrives, the Belkins that come two in a pack for twenty bucks. Decent but not as good as the Pixelskin HD.

A case is a case

I ordered for my iPhone 5 was a blue otterbox. It will arrive where I live around Tuesday-Thursday. Also, I ordered a Zagg shield for it from Amazon. The zag shield should arrive around late in the week.

I am very happy with my zagg shield and otterbox combination on my iPad. This would be my first smart phone. I was thinking about two years ago getting the iPhone 4 but decided to wait a little longer.

I will need to wait a little more since my phone is still on back order.

Originally bought the Incase Slider but returned it and got the Belkin Grip Candy Sheer. The power button was very difficult to press on the Slider.

I just got a black Griffin clear back cover from Best Buy. I wanted to show off the two tone back. I was gonna go casless..but I chickened out.

i thought about going without a case but knew I couldn't keep my black phone scratchless. I really like this case and it doesn't add much bulk at all.

just a quick question

Does anybody have any luck with the full body zagg shield? I only have been using with past devices (iPod Touch 2nd generation and iPad). They have been working great but never have used full body zagg shield.
