i thought about going without a case but knew I couldn't keep my black phone scratchless. I really like this case and it doesn't add much bulk at all.

Yup! Even with the case it's still lighter than the 4 haha. And I love the clear background. It's just what I was looking for. Though the camera cut-out could be a little smaller.

Just picked up a Belkin case from BestBuy, I am impressed. I was waiting for the Incase sliders, but I may just keep this one! :)

Edit: It's called the "Belkin Grip Candy". I see that some of you are saying that the stores have Incase Sliders, I'm thinking of hunting one down now...

As of yesterday Best Buy had the incase slider for the iPhone 5 on their website!

Just received my SwitchEasy Color (black).

I didn't want the "nude" because in my experience any tight fighting, hard case will cause their own scratches due to the debris that inevitably makes its way between the phone and case. The SwitchEasy color is a soft, pliable rubber that i think will be more forgiving in that regard.

Liking it so far!

I want to get a cheap case now. I'll wait for the Magpul case for iPhone 5 when they release it. I hope it will be soon! ;)

Really liking my Belkin Grip Candy Sheer (And I'm generally very anti-belkin anything), but I'll be getting my PixelSkin HD in the mail tomorrow! My all-time fav case, w00t! Been using them since the 3GS

I don't think it's a case of hating. I don't like them either and would never use them. They are fat, bulky and ugly and no one can deny that. I'm sure no one can deny the level of protection they provide either. The point is at least for me I didn't buy a phone as beautiful and sexy as the iPhone and then keep it in an ugly awful case like the Otterbox ones. :(

Now if had any other phone, for example the Samsung Galaxy I wouldn't have a problem putting it a case as bulky and ugly as the Otterbox ones. :D
After dropping my 4S twice, I caved in and got a black Otterbox Commuter. I was actually surprised at how good it looked. Without a doubt the best protective case I've seen on anyone's phone, the reason being the well thought out design and the quality of the thing. It doesn't look cheap and random like most other cases. I'm in love with the design of the phone too, but honestly I don't miss having it case-free at all.

I think I'm gonna go for this. Retains most of the phone's look while protecting the back. Awesome.

I got the defender. Popped out the screen protecter it comes with and it made it much better.

How hard was it to take out the protective screen ? The screen protector was my main issue with the defender...Also, did popping out the screen protector leave any gaps on the sides ?

Thanks for the info, looks good too!

Popping out the screen protector was really easy. It's just glued in there. The plastic still seems to be flush with the iPhone. You can even tell there's supposed to be a screen protector on it.

Just purchased this this case on eBay as a temporarily case, or permanent depending on how nice it comes out while I wait for more cases to develop and become more stocked in stores. This looks like that Atmosphere case that Metagamers reviewed but slightly cheaper.

Also went with SGP Ultra Crystal as well (was going for Oleophobic, but I dunno.. anybody want to talk me into it?).

Still looking for a rear protector on eBay though, any recommendations?

I'm going with ringke cases, I liked the look and feel on my galaxy nexus (was the first time I heard if this company). I heard their customer support is also very good.
