I'd say it's definitely gone away considering they went from an all white product line to absolutely nothing white except the iphone 3G/S and Mac mini. Cables are cables.... I could care less if there were orange.

anyone remember when the 6G iPod classic came out 3rd gen nano and the 1st gen touch came out? the dock connecter was made a tad bit smaller?
 
I don't see a "BOTH" option :D

If I had to choose, I'd go white since my 3G was white, and my 3GS is black, so alternating might be in order.

You might not care, but Steve sure does. ;)

I always thought it kinda strange that when apple switched to aluminum and black, only the computers changed.Why is the aluminum keyboard, for example, not black like the MacBooks? Power adaptors, cables, Time Capsule, Airport, and mice all match Apple's earlier aesthetic better.
 
the white looks gorgeous and its my favorite color so I definitely want that one :)

I think I'll buy the black iPhone 4g, since I don't think that the white and aluminum match as good as the black and aluminum does.

I find it more "good looking" because its more glossy and so on.
 
Got to see them both before making that decision but it will probably be a black one. Looks will remain good even after a certain period of time while the white one will discolor a bit I think.
 
I've had a black one for the last two years so I was thinking about a switch to white, bu after seeing pics of it I don't think the design flatters the white. Black it will be
 
I had a black 3G, a white 3GS and if the renders are true it looks like I will be getting a black G4. I hate the white white front. It looks plasticy, game-boyish, and cheap to me. However, if the white model actually has a black front, then I will go white.
 
Looks like white is confirmed. What's with those colored "cases"? Should they even be called cases?
