Thinkpad X60 tablet (13")
Thinkpad T60p (15")
Asus V6V (15")

Yeah I think that pretty much says it all… :D

27" iMac C2D.

I miss the large screen and sometimes think about ditching the MBP and going back to the iMac 27 and getting an iPad

Too Ughlee
Knock the Thinkpad all you want, but if I had to get a non-apple portable right now, I would go with one of them. There's a reason they're so popular in large corporations. They're well built, and don't look hideous; they're built to get the job done. Granted, mine may look out of date (it is several years old, afterall), but in general, I think it's aged rather well. :)

Sony Vaio FE Series (broken keyboard, rested in peace)
Compaq Presario V3000 Series (still alive and used by my mother)
2 dead desktops

Got my 15" I7 Hi-AG MBP last month, this is my first MBP. Before that I used Thinkpad PC for almost 10 years, I have a T410s early 2010, a T60p from 2006, and a T40 from 2002, all three still run great, though the T40 is pretty slow these day. I gave T60p and T40 to my 3rd and 1st grade daughter. Both T410s and MBP are my primary laptops now.

My MBP 13" is my first ever mac, before I use to use an HP Pavilion dv6000, and before that, It was an HP desktop (2002-2003) model.

Macbook from back in 2006. Before that I didn't have a laptop, just a gaming desktop.

i had a toshiba satelite for about 2 years it always broke, one frequent problem was windows explorer crashed on a regular basis, no matter how many fresh installs I did, besides myriad other problems. then i got my macbook(used, it's actually as old as my toshiba is, but worlds better), holding the toshiba now, it feels so cheap/flimsy/bulky/heavy I don't know how I used it so long

Beloved?:) Wow now thats a bit over the top, I have never been in love with any piece of hardware except for PS3 probably. Anyway on the topic, I used to be a PC user for 12 years my last rig I have built myself. It was Quad Core 3.0Ghz; 4 GB DDR2 Ram; 1 TB HDD; GeForce 9800 GTX+. TO be honest I miss it, because I could actually do some gaming on it.

I picked up 13" MBP for the price higher than I payed for my Rig while Hardware wise its much slower. To be honest I used a mac for 5 months now and Im still to see whats all the hype about.

Once I'm back to UK i will buy a new PC rig, want to do some gaming and heavy editing. I cant justify paying over 3000US for a MBP while I can collect twice as powerful station for half a price, sorry I know it hurts but it is true.

Custom desktop that I built which was based on the last AGP architecture. It's still pretty snappy even today. Highly overclocked.

A Dell Latitude X300 from 2004, as well as a Power Mac 9600/200 from 1997, a Pentium III tower from 1999, a Pentium III Toshiba Satellite from 1999, and a Pentium III Acer Aspire Tower from 1998. That was all one go. Before all that, a Pentium II tower, a Pentium I tower, a Pentium I Toshiba Satellite, a PowerBook 5300ce, a PowerBook 180, a Quadra 800 (upgraded to PPC), a now dead PowerBook 180 (another one), and a Macintosh SE FDHD.

Currently, a MacBook Pro (PowerBook C2D), same Dell Latitude, and same Power Mac. I am actually upgrading the PM to 1.5 GB RAM, and a 1 GHz G4.

Homebuilt PC tower that was prone to RAM errors and HDD's coming unplugged. It was a beast of a machine on launch, but I'm glad to be rid of it now.

I had the white MB when I bought this 17" unibody MBP. I still occasionally use it. Before that, all laptops I owned were Windows PCs.

A 2004 Dell workstation...
Surprisingly fast has
80GB 5400RPM HDD (50GB in use)
9800GTX+ (upgrade)
4GB DDR2 800 MHz (upgrade)
3.2GHz Pentium 4

Dell XPS M1330

Was a great laptop until the GPU died one week(I kid you not) out of warranty.
They wanted $800 to fix it so I said **** Dell. I just ordered a new MBP... This will be my first Apple laptop, lets hope it goes better.

Had a DELL XPS M1330 before my MBP too and had same issue with it. I was 2 months out of warranty, but they were kind enough to replace my motherboard, 'cause it was a known issue. But that didn't help much either, the new motherboard died another 2 months later and that was it with their kindness. It then took me 6 months to decide for a MBP and then another 6 months for the new MBP model to come out. Now I have an i5/15" standard config after one year of laptop abstinence.

Before the Dell I used an Acer TM3002 subnotebook which I still have and which I take with me when I travel, since it fits nicely in most hotel safes and since I didn't have the heart to take the MBP with me yet.
