Oh I forgot you can do movies too. I said "when does Looper come out?" and she told me.

Same for times, ask what time a movie is playing and you'll get a list and a bunch of info about the movie (trailer, RottenTomaties rating, etc).

Didn't work very well for Dredd 3D though... she kept thinking I was saying "Dread", which is a different movie apparently, haha. I said "what time is Dredd 3D playing tonight?" and she said "here are all of the 3D movies playing tonight" or something like that.

I'd guess it works better with movies that have more distinct titles.

Don't know if this has been touched on yet or not (still have 4 pages to go through) but you can ask

What films has ____ stared in?
Who directed _____?
What movies are coming out this weekend?
What Sci-Fi/Comedy/Action/etc. movies are coming out this weekend?
Who starred in ____?
What is _____ rated?
What film won __(award)__ in __(year)__?

So much movie information!

I do a bit with Siri, but get fruistrated with the fairly regular downtime where Siri simply wont respond.

Wake me up at.....
Get information on famous people
Play album....
Set timer for XX minutes,
Who let the dogs out? (Funny)

How do I get Siri to recognize certain places by certain names? For example, can I ask for directions to work?

Just tell Siri where u work and she will link that to ur contacts so the next time you ask directions to work, she will know. U can also tell Siri who ur, GF, brother, sister, mom, dad and she will link that also.

I actually do find being able to access Wolfram Alpha through Siri very useful.

How does that work? Could you post an example?
If I tell her to look something up in Wolfram Alpha she tells me that she can search the web for "whatever Wolfram Alpha"...

Ask Siri about her favorite movie (she mentioned 2001 A Space Odessey)
then ask her about the HAL 9000...

A lot of searches bring up Wolfram Alpha results without having to specify looking there. Examples:

"18% tip for $43.50"
"What's the atomic weight of boron?"
"What's the radius of Jupiter?"
"What's Planck's constant?"
"What's Planck's constant times the speed of light?"
"What's the definition of cross product?"
"How many days between January 5 1997 and today?"
"What's the population of Australia?"
"What's 500 HP in watts?"
"How many calories in a Big Mac?"
"Find anagrams for tables"

It works quite well, and I'm also surprised at how good the voice recognition works. Oddly, there are some things you can look up in Alpha that don't seem to work with Siri. For example, "Weather for August 5 2009" works fine if you type it into Wolfram Alpha but Siri doesn't look there and just says "Sorry, I can't get past weather information."

I think Spanish cousin of Siri, Siri, doesn't have a fully worked out database yet.

¿Cual es el radio de Júpiter? "What's the radius of Jupiter?"
Lo siento, no hay nadie en tus contactos llamado Júpiter. "Sorry, there's no one in your contacts named Jupiter".

(I have Wolfram Alpha installed, yes)

I named a reminder "Grocery List" and then asked Siri "to add to Gorcery List reminder" and she responded that I do not have a Grocery List in reminders...

EDIT: ok, I now realize I must title a "List" "Grocery List" and not a "reminder"...:D

Did the same thing.

I asked Siri to find the phone number for Apple Care yesterday. She said she couldn't find "Ah - pli - ker"!!!! Funny thing was Apple Care was spelled correctly on the screen....
