I like the Pepsi Max logo (though not really the colors).

The Diet Pepsi one is OK.

The proportions of the curves in the regular Pepsi one are just really awkward. They bug me.

i like the new pepsi font, but the logo looks like it's from the 70s or the logo of an asian/middle eastern airline.

Meh.

I don't drink rum any longer, so I don't drink Pepsi.

If this is a really big deal, someone better wake-up Andy Warhol.

it looks like a sailboat logo.
Mallrats rules.

The new pepsi logo communicates a cohesive idea of moving forward. It didn't need to be replaced or redone, but the end result is change for the sake of change.

All they had to do was settle on a strong logotype to back up the symbol. Instead they have done the opposite as well as destroy the symbol.

The symbol was destroyed long before this revision... ;)

This rebrand has polarised opinion as can clearly be seen by the amount of discourse it has generated, in some respects, one could suggest that it has therefore been very successful. ;)

I don't like soda, and in the very rare occasion I do drink soda, Coke owns Pepsi.

With that said, the new logo just looks like they let a child try to draw it and the child failed. If they were trying to be "hip" or "cool" they failed miserably.

As a designer myself I understand the thinking behind this mark but I think that the execution is awkward and unsettling. For one, the drawing looks too similar to the old Pepsi logo and therefore causes confusion. I also don't like what the different sized "smiles" make the user think about their particular Pepsi product. Is Pepsi Max bad for you? Is Diet Pepsi that bad?

Overall, the idea seems to be OK in concept, but what a disaster on the execution. I'm sure we'll all get used to it over time and cry foul when they change it again to compete with Coke.

I don't drink soda on account of my sugar sensitivity, but I love this new design. It's definitely a little strange compared to the old logo, but the over all design of the new cans is really impressive.

If I did not know what the previous pepsi logo looked like I would have never noticed any changes. And it's such a little change that I don't really even care. Like someone said, it looks like it could be a sailboat logo, all one needs to do is change the red to a yellow and raise those sails boys.

It's so dang subtle that many are not even going to notice.

I don't even know why I care this much. I never pay much attention to brands.

So subtle? So little change? And of course you wouldn't notice a difference if you didn't know the original; that's common sense. That's like saying "I had no idea she had dyed her hair!" about someone you just met 5 minutes ago. How could you know?

Anyways, everybody is going to notice. Even if you haven't drank Pepsi. If you have ever gone into a gas station to get a soda, and you walk past the Pepsi, then you have noticed the logo. It's like Rain Man, if one little thing is out of place or different from the norm, he goes crazy.

Rambling.:apple:

I like the new can, the newly designed word "pepsi" is cool. But that logo sucks.

About it representing a smile; I read that too. Check out the image below.

They are trying to hard to go with the modern 2.0 look. it works with some things, but pepsi was cool the way it was.

its coke for me, way cooler style

but they both taste the same and are not my favourite drink

what the hell is with everyone changing their logos all of a sudden. Why is everyone deciding to update their logos at the same time.

I hope they didn't pay the advertising agency much to come up with that. All they did was a 5 second photoshop edit.
