Well yeah, but it'll sure be clear when you have gotten your phone wet. Think of the savings on moisture sensors!

BTW, I hear that it will be made out of gingerbread.

Very reliable, did he snap any Mr. Blurrycam pics? Don't you think a "high up" person would not divulge information to anyone outside because of risk of termination? I doubt they are just flashing these things around to people (if they exist). We would have a pic pop-up on rumor sites like this one if they were.

lol if i had a $1 for everyone who has a friend, that sees a soon to be released product from someone high up in the company.............. Only to be way off in description when the actual product is released.:D
 
You guys really have no clue what's coming out of Apple do you. I work in the product development department and I can say that non of you have a single clue of what's coming.

Sure there are rumors but nothing is solid evidence.
 
I will predict some kind of Unibody enclosure. Or maybe it will look like the original iPhone but thinner.

Kind of reminds me of the iPod Nano line.

There is the possibility that it's actually a bump we're getting come summer - hence the lack of rumors? There are rumors of updates - but nothing requiring a big change to the actual handset design externally.

WWDC could be a GB, CPU and camera bump. They sell hard on the OS, the apps and the accessories.

  • You want a 10Mpixel camera? Buy a connector cam dongle. Booom. You're old Touch does better pictures than a 2009 phone.
  • You want video? Bluetooth to a wireless headcam, for all your shenanigan filming needs.
  • You want GPS? Use a dongle if you don't have A-GPS.
  • You want LBS? See what Google's up to...

Blimey - the thought of actually trying to make commercials and pitches by having someone demonstrate the effectiveness of the products to viewers hands-on? Maybe Apple's just crazy enough to try that - you better tell them the idea :p

Well, we know there are some internal changes - Doesn't China need modifications so the carrier can use the iPhone (e.g. China Unicom or China Mobile?). Imagine an CDMA iPhone, that goes black market, and filters back into the US market? :D
My rationale- is why not? Change a bit, but not too much. The rough size and shape is decent. If they can make space to accomodate a larger lens and sensor - Great. Beyond the simple spec updates - all they need is to let users be able to differentiate between products. e.g. Shuffle's headphones, Apple's headphonse, White iPhone 3G, Touch's slim update etc.
 
This would make me very happy. I don't care about HD, but otherwise video capable, minor processor/camera/ram update, and a matte finish on the back. I'd be a very happy guy buying my first iPhone if it looked like that one.

Oh, and 16gb for $199. That would also make me very happy.
