That's funny.
I'm running iOS 6 on my phone right now, and it looks just like this:

Uncrippled bluetooth is a must. I won't be buying another iPhone until this happens. It should have been in iOS 1 never mind iOS 8.
I'd like for Siri to be able re-read a text for those times when I'm walking the dogs, for example, and listening through headphones. I'd like to be able to compose an appropriate reply. So far, I seem to be able to only access that latest message and then only once.
YMMV
The only thing I as the costumer demand from iOS 8, is either a return to skeuomorphism (not holding my breath) or to be empowered to choose between apples default flat and skeuomorphism.
If apple truly desires to innovate, empower me to choose, empower me to alter the phone, so that it pleases me. Make me, the costumer happy and I the costumer will be made more willing to fork over my hard earned cash.
Wish I knew how to add a youtube video to this but i don't so heres the link:

I love the layout of settings. The layout we have now is still a bit too iOS 6 for my liking...
A translucent view of our home screen image behind the multitasking and notification centre would make this perfect for me!
I seriously doubt they will go backwards on the interface. In fact, every mobile OS out now is flat. Heck, desktop OSes are going flat. Allowing you to customize the colors and stuff would be cool though and should be fairly simple to add.
Poor Apple is not doing well at all. They don't have tons of cash on hand more than most of the other companies, not are they the most valuable company in the world, nor are one of top most trusted brands in the world. Poor poor Apple. This is why Apple is falling apart.
Apple used to set trends but now they just follow them.

If any of that was a real issue of some sort it would be first reflected financially as that is the first, last, and all in between that reflects the overall health of a company. So, yeah, they are doing just fine.Financially their fine but Apple under Cook is more concerned about following trends and bloating their product lineup.

Has anyone mentioned multi-tasking? The iPad needs it badly.

I want 3 things:
Android Grid system. Let me put apps anywhere in the grid.
Android Widget system. Works with the icon grid to allow various size widgets.
Up Next in the Music app.
Any time now would be great. Thanks.![]()
This would be awesome. Or at least have a gesture to get to multitasking.

Personally I need few truly new features, just refining of several existing.
The only new feature I would like for them to add is visual themes. Not unlike what is produced by jailbreaks like winter board. Not because I want it, but to shut the rest up cause I'm tired of the whining about how ugly iOS 7 is.
Oh and not really a new feature but the return of extras/LP. Steve said it would happen and it's been 4 years.
You don't want widgets.. you'll have maybe one or two if any at all...
I think what you want is a more connected OS. Where apps and the OS communicate to change the look of your iPhone away from the standard grids to something that you can use more personally.
Widgets are kind of a cheating their way there since it's just another app but not full screen and with half the functionality.

Well the problem with multitasking is that it isn't that much faster than just going to the home screen and clicking the icon. Does the same thing and is only a second or two slower which.. is not a big deal for most people.
Multitasking that actually benefits the user would be better rather than accessing it quicker.
----------
I agree completely with the translucent look but people are going to get confused with this view. Currently, it works because it's pulling something over the top of the app. This one keeps it in view which can be confusing.
----------
iOS 7 isn't ugly by any means. It's a mob mentality thing going on here.. and it has no standing. Designers actually like Apples new design philosophy with iOS 7, they just think the icons could use tweaking to better match their philosophy.
THEY HAVE TO ADD!!!!!
a way to close app opened apps at once....
