*yawn* none of this crap your talking about happens to me. My battery life is excellenttttttt. Way better than when i had an iPhone 4, and 3GS, 3G and 2G

A functional OS is all I would like to see. iOS 7 is garbage and is the worst software Apple has released since System 9.

Still broken in iOS 7 at least on the iPhone 5.

Bluetooth connections aren't stable. Sometimes you have to turn Bluetooth on and off multiple times before it will connect to a device.

Music app constantly crashes, skips songs, deletes songs, won't play some songs that are transferred to the phone, duplicates songs & albums, gets stuck on cover flow and doesn't switch back until you force close the app. Playlists removes songs that are on your phone that still show up under Artists or Albums. Playlists will play songs from different lists at times. Switching to another app or unlocking the device while music is playing will often force the last couple seconds of a song to repeat before the song continues.

Transitions are glitchy or replay twice when unlocking the device from the Notification Menu.

Keyboard in Safari is eye straining and blurry, especially on iPad.

Safari, Mail, Music, Settings, Messages, Phone, Contacts, Remote, Reminders, all have an eye straining blurry White color that bleeds red pixels to create almost a pinkish hue. (inverting colors or lowering brightness to it's lowest setting is not a fix)

Home Button sometimes takes multiple presses to wake the device. At times it just reboots it if you press it to much cause it won't wake up.

Saving images from the Web tend to bring back thumbnails and pictures that were previously deleted.

Battery life is worse than all previous version of iOS. Even with Location Services off and brightness turned all the way down.

Syncing with a computer is laughably bad. Purchases from the device don't always transfer. If they do transfer they are often removed from the device, so you have to resync the device after you tell iTunes to re-add said purchase back.

*** If Apple loves Windows Phone so much that they copied the look and feel to it (Microsoft style glitches and all) then why didn't they just give us Windows Phone 8. ***

Same here my battaty life is the same as it was. I think it's just these people have there brightness up to high because now they can change it faster.

Just think.....

Apple employees will be gathering info from this thread and submitting them to headquarters so be sure to post your wants and don't wants in iOS8.

...........A quick look at my home screen reveals that color-wise, Apple's icons fit right in with third-party apps............

...........despite some people's perception that certain color combinations appear "childish".

I think you'll find that the third party app icons were designed to look nice among the stock icons and themes, not the other way around.

And colour palettes do have certain sentiments attached to them. This applies to every sector of design, style, etc... There is an entire science behind this, although it isn't set in stone and can be different based on experience, culture, etc...

Not that it's wrong to use and enjoy whatever colours you may, but to expect that the huge diversity that makes up the iOS user-base will all like the out-there colour scheme is a little much. Some options would be nice, if they are going to make it so daring.

To the OP, all I want is for the speed back of previous iOS. No more delay after every single transition... oh, how it would be nice. Oh, and the music app to be totally fixed, between its bugs, and impractical new interface. A dark theme would do wonders.

5x4 folder or at least 4x4 folder

current 3x3 folder looks fine on iPhone but wasted too much space on iPad

I want iOS 8 to start acting like an actual computer. Meaning I want Apple to lighten up on the sandbox theme. Let me share files more openly between apps. Or at least let there be a place for files so that I can upload more than just videos and pictures from within safari.

Ok, we probably will never go back to iOS 6 era.

But, at least make the iOS 7 3-dimensional again! Who likes flat design?!
and change the childish color theme too!

Quick reply

FaceTime group chat both with video and audio only

Better multitasking

Air drop between OS X and iOS

More dynamic wallpapers maybe let developers make their own

And the usual upgrades to Siri

• Better integration between FaceTime and phone calls. When I say "call mom," if I have FaceTime Audio set as her default connection, then use it. I guess there could be a global default (phone, FT audio, FT video) and individual defaults in contacts kind of like ringtones.

• More use of Touch ID. Either get trusted third-party companies aboard or open the darn thing up completely. When I reload my Starbucks gold card, I have to type in the password for my Starbucks account. Some sort of integration with Touch ID sure would be nice. It would also be great for Netflix, Hulu Plus, anything that involves passwords.

• Mobile payments. I got my first experience with the iBeacon functions today at the Apple Store. Allow some sort of payment setup using this and Touch ID for security. As the Target deal has shown, payments have much security to be desired. Hell, throw Touch ID on everything -- iPads, iPods, wireless keyboard -- and apply it to websites somehow.

• Accounts. I'm sure there are plenty of people who want to share devices, especially iPads. But they have to compromise on the settings. Just let them sign in with an Apple ID to have different accounts like you can on OS X.

• Active icons. Make this very optional, but I would love a weather icon that changes based on conditions. Hell, the calendar app technically does it by showing the day.

• Video camera rotation notification. YouTube's capture app gives you a notification that you're holding your camera the wrong darn way and are going to have a goofy-looking video because you can't hold your phone horizontally while shooting video. We've seen the videos, we know some people aren't intelligent enough to see this as wrong considering the reason why movies are wider than they are tall. Let people shut it off in settings, but by default get them to hold their phone the right way during video shots.

• Folder icons. I like the usefulness of folders, but the icons are an eyesore. I have a photography folder I use on the home screen. I would love an option to set my own icon instead of a tiny set of icons from what's in there.

• More Maps features. A few years ago I bought a Magellan GPS app that had speed limits, elevation and some other features on the display. Throw in some stuff like that or let me purchase it via in-app purchase. Also, allow me to correct pronunciations of places that are just wrong. There's a city nearby called Buford pronounced "Bew-ferd." But Siri pronounces it "Buff-erd." Same thing with a road called Sugarloaf that is pronounced by Siri "Sew-gur-loaf." That one annoys me more than anything since "sugar" is never, ever pronounced like that.

Please please please help me answer my phone! The swipe thing just doesn't work. I swipe many times and often the call still doesn't connect, and then I have to call the person back. I would much prefer a button, 'Accept Call' or 'Decline'

Not sure how this is iOS 8 related, but if your phone is unlocked when the call comes in then you'll get those buttons. Aside from that try restating your phone, perhaps resetting settings, maybe even restoring it, and if that doesn't resolve it then perhaps take it to Apple for them to look at it.

1. A better keyboard and text selection system - give us what SwipeSelect already offers.

2. More customization options. Themes, organizing icons as we want (so we could leave empty spaces in order to keep the background more visible), more control over animations.

3. Better file integration. I wish I could at least insert an image from the camera roll when replying an e-mail with the native mail app.

4. More diferentiation between the iPhone iOS and the iPad iOS. The folder size is a joke, sure, but it's just the tip of the iceberg.

5. And, of course, a big aesthetic improvement on many icons.

I doubt Apple is going to do any of that, though.

one of the normal browsers with ad block capability. Ads are getting bigger and significantly worse in IOS7.
Also if I'm running something and don't want it to use cellular access I should be able to set that once and not get a notice every time I start the app.

Stuff.

More robust Camera application overall. I looked at my relative's Samsung S3 and saw a lot of stuff that could be added into the app. At the very least, add the ability to use panorama while in landscape mode. Made me roll my eyes when I saw that the iPhone didn't have it but the S3 did

Also, the ability to transfer apps to one other over wifi/bluetooth would be nice, especially on trips where one person has a certain multiplayer game and the other person doesn't :D

Agreed on that for sure. The iPad doesn't do itself justice because it's OS works for iPhone and iPod. Having additional users, making better use of the space, making it more capable at things like multitasking...
