A better phone app and Visual voicemail.

It's time for Apple to step up to the level of Google voice and Youmail

- Manage contact groups on the phone.
- Multiple voicemail greetings. Per group or contact.
- voicemail dictation.
- The ability to purchase voicemail greetings on the App Store.. Including smart greetings. There should also be reject greetings which can be assigned to unknown and blocked callers.. Do not allow them to leave a voicemail
- Voicemail folders. Trash, junk, archive, custom
- The ability to open voicemails in another app and share via the universal share menu.
- iCloud voicemail syncing.
- Call recording. Calls could be saved under a recorded folder in the voicemail tab by default.. And then moved to other folders and shared just like voicemail.
- call blocking expanded to include unknown blocked numbers

Some of these features would obviously require Apple to provide its own voicemail service.. Perhaps they should purchase a company like Youmail or HulloMail.

And of course.... A universal quick reply... With an API that allows any messaging app to use it..

All these would be awesome.

I want the Note app to have much more functionality. It's really to me, just utterly useless. I use Evernote instead. Would be great if "Notes" app worked similarly.

Just sayin' :apple:

Why? Honest question. If you have Evernote, why do you want Notes to do the same?

* GateKeeper. But we all know this will never happen.
* Ability for developers to add extra content to notification sheet - there's weather and stocks… more content would be great.
* Profile for personal and work use, as per BlackBerry 10.

* Widgets sharable between OSX and iOS!

Main things I would like are quick reply (bitesms) functions included and being able to choose default apps

oh, and an api opened up for using touch id for other things so that apps can utilize it

Utterly useless? It's an app that stores notes, and it seems to do that.

Hey, how about the ability to develop for iOS on iOS? I'm sure it's not impossible for Apple to bring Xcode for iOS.

New icons :D
Apple time to check on Dribble :D:D:D

I think the most obvious thing is airdrop between mac and ios.

As much as I love Apple products it frustrates me how features that are totally ready for release today are withheld to keep us wanting and waiting for more.

If you mean to imply that because AirDrop is on the Mac and on the iPhone, Apple must be actively withholding the feature to share between them, you're wrong.

The only thing each sharing feature shares is a name. Two separate protocols from what I've read. I agree they need to unify them - but its not as if the two can simply just be "opened up" for it to work. They'd have to change the way AirDrop works on the Mac to be compatible with the iPhone/iOS.

While I understand there would be work involved, if apps like instashare can do it so seamlessly I find it hard to believe that it would be a feature too difficult to implement yet. (Excuse my ignorance if this is not the case)

1) I'd like to see wider adoption of Passbook by UK retailers.
2) NFC. My Visa Debit card has it... so if my bank could design an app where I can tap my iPhone and charge it to my checking account without getting the plastic out then it'd be welcome.
3) More options in the camera app. It's annoying at the best of times I have to use a third party program to achieve the results that Samsung, for example, offer.
4) Airdrop between iMac and iOS. Yes, I know they are modeled on different specs but it would be convenient.
5) The ability to custom whichever icons I want adding to the Control Center.
6) Quick reply for Mail and SMS.
7) Features like buying cinema tickets and making reservations for local restaurants using Siri.

It doesn't have the same feature set as its desktop counterpart that it syncs with and really should.

Adding tags to notes would make it a hell of a lot more useful too.

If I was watching WWDC and seen that I think I would fall over and die right there...
so you prefer the actual version
Ive may be a good apparel designer, however for UI design he should leave his place for someone with more experience and talented.
It's sad for apple that mockups displayed on dribble or else are more professional than what Apple proposed... :(

Themes. Please. I'll even pay for them. Give us color options. Tired of blue/green texts. Let's customize a bit. It's 2014 after all. I used to be able to customize my Aol Instant Messages way back in 1994.

No, I get that. Yes there would be work involved. That's all I was saying. Sometimes the assumption is that because they have the same name and acheive the same task, that they can easily be merged together or that Apple is purposefully holding back something that already has the capability of working. Which isn't the case. They'd have to re-work the Mac AirDrop.

A few things I'd like to see in stock iOS 8. (Probably won't happen, but I'd still like to see it natively sooner or later.)

1) File Browser, if only on iPad. (Including download functionality in safari, adding/removing media & documents w/o iTunes and other standard file browser functionality)
2) Default app settings. (e.g. to set default browser, email client)
3) Split app mode on iPad (e.g. Windows 8.1 split apps)
4) Bring back the album grid on iPad's music app from iOS 6
5) "Up Next" feature from iTunes ported to iOS.

Maybe an expansion to DND to include more functionality.
-Still receive badges but silence all banners even if phone is active.
-Text Management; can silence one person or can silence one group until you choose to receive texts/calls from them again.

Custom Live Wallpapers

Night/Dark mode for Cameras.

Custom icons for NC
-Meaning if I wanted I can add settings to my NC.

Just a few of these please.
