Real focus on feature completion improvements between macOS and iOS. That is to say, remove the discrepancies of iOS-only features and macOS-only features.

For example, you CAN rotate photos in iOS by fine degrees, but you can only rotate by increments of 90° in macOS Preview.

You can rotate them by fine degrees in Photos app on Mac as well

Steve did not have specific policies on any of these things. He wanted to make products that delighted users, and he didn’t have all the answers. That’s why Pencil exists - he was right that a stylus as a primary input device was stupid, but there are use cases for them.

iPad Pro having external storage is especially not “anti-Steve.” Full Photoshop is coming, and the internal storage just won’t cut it.

Not specific on that. But he always went in that direction (anti external storage), and in many areas. No DVD drive on the MacBook Air, no SD card on the iPhone... It's always risky and compromising at first, but I think it's clear that the future won't go in the direction of external physical units, separate drives in software, etc.
And we also know he didn't like touchscreens on the Mac. Because each OS has different interfaces and needs specific input methods. A mouse (or trackpad) can't imitate the behavior of touch screens, so it would create many problems.

SOFTWARE IS EVERYTHING... just fix the services already... bugs, different designs, complicated UX all over, the technical debt there is crazy by now

Dismantle the 20 year old iTunes no one understands by now, create specific apps for each category like music movies and podcast with iCloud sync on all platforms.

redesign the platforms with a new design language, start fresh again, add shadows and depth, get rid of flat modern design and bring back the uniqueness design of iOS and macOS that once looked like being made from premium materials of earth, design it with a modern touch, not flatten it all out with white backgrounds and huge headlines all over...

redesign the entire apple music UX/UI with those huge buttons all over, those 2 year old microphones artists pictures, redesign mail, calendar and reminders, no new functionality since iOS 7...

combine all app stores on iOS into single one with option to switch depend on the need, instead of app store in the messages app, the apple watch app and the main one, this is one a the most confusing things on iOS now.

sorry to say, but the simplicity in apple UX is in downhill since jobs passed away, jobs knew how to be the customer and the CEO simultaneously and cared deeply about the experience and the simplicity, i don't think anyone at apple has this ability in that scale now

I would like to see

1. ProMotion 120fps feature on Macbook and iPhone
2. Apple supporting the AV1 video codec in hardware as early as other platforms
3. Improved video quality on Apple TV - especially the NowTV app which is 720p30

Apple Pencil support for the iPhone max.

Apple Music support for echo devices in the UK

ECG functionality on the Apple series 4 in the UK.

A worthy successor to the iPad mini 4

Further software improvements to the HomePod

Siri getting a lot smarter

Split screen on the Apple TV and iPhone max

Maybe I’m crazy but I fail to see why people complain about Apple being expensive. They’ve always been the most expensive. You know you’re getting that. Cost of raw materials goes up year after year. Sure Apple makes a healthy profit but don't expect prices on a premium product to go down in price, that’s just stupidity. You wouldn’t walk into a Mercedes dealership and be pissed they don’t have a price point to match a Hyundai. But it has 4 wheels a motor and a steering wheel. Why would this Mercedes be more? Because you’re buying a premium luxury product. No different for Apple. If you don’t like the price point, you can jump ship.

I hope for better Software: iOS with Desktop Features, especially when connected to an external Monitor. Configurable shortcuts like in macOS, file system, Trackpad support, external drive support, Unix shell with Compilers (Go, Rust), configurable tasks running always in background, Photos App should be synced(!) to a self-hosted service.

I just want a tablet that isn't limited because it's a tablet form factor. I only want ONE machine for my daily tasks, maybe more a MacPad with "Marzipan" Apps. The CPU is available (A12X).

Simple. A return to good design on the macbook pros. I won't spend $2k on a laptop that can be destroyed by a piece of dust (and no - they have not fixed that). But the design elements suck. Keyboard has no travel. The trackpad is ridiculously large and hard to avoid hitting while typing. It comes to the edge so that if the laptop is, you know, actually in your lap, it is barely usable. The touch bar is cool, but under-utilized. It's useful in a few applications, more of a gimmick most of the time.

Look, the Mac OS is still way and above the best thing out there. But I've had a lot of conversations with people who are holding off upgrading. Come one Apple, get it together.

No more unjustified price increases would be nice

No more price increase would be okay, but why unjustified? The iPhone X/XS/XS Max have an expensive OLED display, more pricey than LCD, an expensive biometric system, more pricey than Touch ID, and are made of steel, that's more expensive than aluminium. I think it's the justification you are missing for the price increase. The same seems is true to me for theMac Mini, the internals are way more powerful than the last incarnations, 4 and 6 core CPUs, SSD-only storage etc.

For me, it’s all iOS 13.

• Dark Mode
• Multi-User Support on iPad
• Picture-in-Picture support on iPhone
• Redesign the all-screen notification if a phone call comes in. Just drop it in from the top.
• Always-On Display
• Smarter Siri
• Time remaining until fully charged
• Toggle battery percentage for X series
• Place icons wherever I want and place widgets on home screen

Ok, two non-iOS improvements
• USB-C on iPhone
• Include a fast charger in the box for a friggin’ $999+ phone.

Some of these are just hopes, but to me, if Apple wants to keep their prices in luxury levels then I hope to see a more capable OS from them.

  • Macbook Pro with the keyboard from the 2015 model. I can live with all the dongle crap, excessive trackpad size but the current keyboard is driving me away from the MBP big time.
  • iOS 13 with support for the Apple Trackpad, better grid view for iPad, default keyboard prediction for my native language, ability to dismiss call screen and better 3rd party keyboard API (so you can use default keyboard prediction on custom keyboards for example).
  • Price decreases for iPhones and iPad Pros.
  • App Store app that isn't a complete bag of ****.
  • Less unfounded superlatives in keynotes.

Apple's biggest asset it loyalty of the fans and appeal to general public. Think more about customer experience and less about average sales price. More innovation versus iterative upgrades.

For 2019, I would like to see updated Macbook 12 with ARM and ability to use IOS apps on MacOS. Dark mode on IOS. Give me picture in picture and I would get big Iphone. Stronger push in home automation and car electronics.

UM iPhone MINI!iPhone MINI!

iPhone MINI!

iPhone MINI!

As a professional filmmaker I want all the camera capes and less the screen size! Maybe ever As small as the ORIGINAL IPHONE - or smaller.

Maybe with PRO capabilities - I/O to plug in peripherals like mics and monitors.
