Siri that knows more.

99% of the time, my questions for Siri always start with "Hey Siri, Google...", because at least that way although I have to then look at a list of answers in Google, at least I'll probably get my answer. Asking her alone, frequently gets weird or incorrect answers.

My top 3 things I want to see from Apple in the year 2022.

1. The software and Hardware team need to work together. Communication is the ?
I want Apple’s Software team to work together with the hardware team. Lately, they have not been working together. So many bugs in the software. Yes, the hardware is there to support it but the software is just lagging. It is behind. More bug fixes. Quality control should be the #1 priority.

2. No more notch
I don’t want to see a “NOTCH” anymore. It’s outdated. It’s 2022 the notch should not be there anymore.

3. No higher prices
I don’t want prices to hike up anymore from Apple. Prices were already up for Apple products in 2021. There’s no need to increase them any more.

Update: 11:01PM PST. This is what I'm talking about.

Nice to see you still puttin in the hours on the forums Yay. Couldn’t have said it better myself especially with hardware/software teams. Looking at most of the posts on this it seems most complainuts are with the software. I would also like to take advantage of all the horsepower I got on this M1 IPP

I still don’t understand why apple hasn’t filled the huge gap between iOS and its desktop OS in terms of customizability and features. Apple has simply the best mobile hardware but it’s iOS where many feel let down. I’m finding that I grab my older pixel phone more and more to accomplish tasks that I can’t do on iOS.
Apple doesn't want to cannibalize mac os sales by making iOS better.

-Default iMac base model 16GB / 512GB
-Don’t even think of “notching” the iMac
-Come on ! Banish the notch to the afterlife

allow core apple apps to be updated separately from the os
make both macos and ios simple again
fix the lack of speed when updating macos
allow blocking popup video windows on safari in ipad os

fix the lack of speed when updating macos
If I were having to go round lots of machines, I'd find it annoying. But for just a mini and an MBP, I'll live with it, so long as I can choose when to accept the update.

I'd rather it was slow, even slower than really necessary, rather than have problems because they have concentrated on speeding it up rather than reliability. Needs to be resilient to everything that can be thrown at it, like drive failures, power cuts, etc. in the middle of updating.

Oh, also let us set whatever color, vibrancy and shade of colors that we want for events Calendar!!!

Classic color options...
I'm fine with them offering colors on the consumer iMacs and even if they want to on the pros or the upcoming MacBooks, but they should still offer at least a basic Silver or Space Gray with black bezel selection too.

Same with the Apple Watch. I'm not a fan of the new Starlight replacing Silver or Midnight replacing Space Gray. Starlight looks yellow/beige and Midnight looks blue for those with high color acuity. Really clashes with many of my existing bands so I'm skipping the 7. Also at this point I wish they would just offer a no band option at a slight discount or at least a voucher to get your own band later to simplify the ordering process.

Price drop! Apple products are WAY too expensive at the moment. They should be 10-15% more than the competition not double.

Apple Watch can be supported not exclusively on iPhone.
I suspect this probably is the ‘end goal’ for the Apple Watch (LTE kinda shows the potential here), but the technology just isn’t there yet to host a separation of WatchOS updates and read-outs. But before that even happen, the battery technology has to continue to mature, with with all these new health features/sensors, is causing more demand for the battery.

What I would really like to see, is micro -LED, a thinner profile of the watch, with flat-like edges, But yet retain the band port as it stands.

The rumored "extreme" Apple Watch, could be a thicker chassis, 50mm or so; allowing a larger screen and more space for a larger battery...

I would definitely want stand-alone cell service, all the health sensors, and all the environmental sensors...

Oh, and Dick Tracy video phone and Brownie-style shoot-from-the-wrist camera capabilities...! ;^p

Ability to have more types of apps in CarPlay, including video playback, as long as you aren’t moving. Would be useful while charging your electric car.

Why would they make a game system when they make more money than companies that make game systems ( Link (hint: they have a monopoly on iOS game stores)

But it would be perfect! An iOS based game system could/would be amazing. A perfect 'hobby project' to follow the Apple TV. Or, make the Apple TV the base for it! I see a bright future in an Apple game system with their goggles.

  • Bring back eGPU support for Mac. Apple silicon will never have the GPU performance per dollar as a dedicated GPU. It worked very well on Intel Macs. Please bring it to Apple Silicon.
  • More effort on Home Kit. In particular make it more user friendly and less buggy. There should be widgets, all kinds of shortcuts. I should be able to force my hard wired AppleTV to be the bridge as I can easily add it to a VLAN. Think about security and how people are segmenting their networks for security. I have a separate network for IoT devices, but it takes a masters degree to make them work with HomeKit.
  • Small phones. Keep the iPhone Mini, anything larger and my hands hurt.

A flagship iPhone that doesn't thermal throttle
A revised, improved and at least decent official MagSafe power bank
2022 Mac Pro go brrrrrrr
