I would see the company focus on fixing bugs and futures for professionals not for tiktok clients....
Focus on workflow and things that people in the industry need.

Hardware:
Release a 10GbE thunderbolt adapter
a usb-c hub with 5-6 usb-c ports
I would se something like a egpu for the apple silicon

Computer Hardware:
Mac pro is the thing people missing
imac 27" was a very poplar computer for editors, photographers etc.

I want to see Apple become a more generous company. For years now, they have been amassing bigger and bigger profits, going from a reasonably small company, to the biggest in the world.

In-store One to One training has gone, giving to communities is hardly seen, and doing things which will help the world in a big way seems to have faded.

I want them to bring back One to One training. I gained a lot from it personally. I learned how to use Logic Pro, Final Cut Pro and other software which has made my life better. I want Apple to give larger amounts of money when people upgrade their hardware in trade-ins, and make it easier to upgrade current setups. I want to see more generosity given to people like me who became disabled through illness, or who are unemployed for whatever reason, by making products more affordable which will make life better.

Apple is big enough to make the world a better place, and they could do a lot more to make it so, without being so profits focused; being a kinder company will go a long way.

There is going to be one long ass line in stores 😛😂

I still have a Series 4 Watch. I’m hoping for a compelling upgrade this year.
Maybe a mood ring sensor? 🤪
So do I. I am returning the Apple Watch Ultra that I bought at the end of last year because I don't think it's worth it for me. I found my original Apple Watch (the real series one!). It still works and I can swop that one with my series 4 to keep track of my sleep and my workouts, as the information is pushed to each one by the iPhone software consistently. .

I'm hoping that Apple will find a way to measure metabolism through the watch, which will help millions change the way they eat, and so make dieting more successful. If I could know how many calories I need and from what, to keep myself going through the day and so be able to not eat more than I actually need, it would be a life saver for me and so many people.

Two things:

1. Apple Display 27-inch for less than 1,000 USD.

2. Standalone Apple Watch with NO dependency on iPhone or any other device (except Mac). Add camera to take pictures, work as scanner (including Apple Live Text) and web browser like Safari to read QR codes. An extra bonus would be to connect it to the Mac. Then I am sold:

Time For The Apple Watch to Separate From The iPhone

It’s Time for the Apple Watch to Break Free From the iPhone

The 15" MacBook this year should be an interesting product, not sure whether it will be a MacBook Air though! Ross Young saying that this MacBook will have a 15.5" display dimension vs. the previously reported 15.2" screen diameter has left me even more unsure whether it'll actually be a MacBook Air.

If it's to replace the 13" MacBook Pro M2 in the line up, as has been suggested, then it'll most likely be a 15" MacBook Pro with active cooling, with the option of M2 & M2 Pro SoCs, but minus mini LED & pro motion. If it were an Air, it most likely would have already been released alongside the 13" model back at WWDC.

Since the Mac mini hasn't yet received M2 & is also rumored to get both M2 & M2 Pro SoCs — both of which also have active cooling — it's likely that this 15" model has been designed around active cooling for an M2 Pro SoC. Thus the enclosure will be thicker than the MacBook Air M2 but thinner than the 14" MacBook Pro.

What do I want to see from Apple in 2023? A renewed emphasis on quality!! There's a perception (at least partially deserved, IMO) that standards have slipped at Apple, especially on the software side. More than the usual number of bugs, poorly thought out UX designs, etc, have been slipping in to some of Apple's products in 2022. Let's hope that Apple ups their game in 2023!

A sub £3k tower with options for the user to upgrade their own RAM and storage. Also a sensible amount of storage given as standard in every model of Mac. 256GB is utterly derisory and takes the piss. Every new Apple Mac that ships in 2023 should start with 1TB minimum. It won't happen, but it should.
Happy New Year! :)
