Shadow of Mordor.

Not my type of genre and it is waaaaay to deep for me with the classification of weapons, power ups, etc type section. I will say it is fun as hell slashing heads off and running around though and it looks absolutely fantastic.

EDIT 2: What is the best weapons strategy? Stick with one and upgrade/fortify the hell out of it? Or get new weapons as soon as they're available? I have the saw cleaver thingy for now, and the "Kirkhammer" or some such just became available. Also, I have been leveling up vitality, strength and endurance. Is it a mistake to neglect the others? (What do they even do??)

To get her non aggressive you'll have to start over. I think you should pick two weapons and one gun then go from there (The Axe and Ludwig Holy Blade was my go to weapons) Level up your stats to compliment your weapon of choice (pvp is totally different beast and it depends on your play style..fast and lite or strong hitter)

At the beginning of the tunnel where the huge pig is hiding out there is a ladder leading to Father Gascoign(sp) and also a ladder leading you behind the piggy if you want to kill it (go kill it :) )

Bless

Was cautiously interested but after reading reviews ... I really want it .... Will likely pick this up Friday.

MRU and Taustin, It's not your ordinary survival horror game it's in line with Heavy Rain and the Walking dead series where the choices you make will effect the story and relationship with the other characters (cinematic experience i guess). I like it and it is a change of pace from all the open world games coming out and I'm kinda exhausted on open world games although I'm looking forward to MGS5 and Fallout 4.

Well I was a big Indigo Prophecy & Heavy Rain fan so thats a good thing for me :) I've no interest in MGS5 though, but I do have Dishonored pre-ordered as it's half price on PS4 if you own the PS3 version (which was given away free as a PS+ game a while ago). So €19.99 was a no brainer :)

Problem is, I'll buy Until Dawn and it'll sit there waiting to be played along with witcher 3 and Batman Arkham Knight which I even bought the Season Pack for and have only spent maybe an hour on the game !!! Aghhhhhh

For me the best Super Mario game ever :)

I prefer SMB3 myself, I used to be really disappointed with how SMW did away with many of my favourite elements from SMB3, but nowadays I really appreciate it for the wonderful game it is in its own right. Though, as I said, SMB3 still number one :D

Spent some time with Rapture this week. Very beautiful and powerful and very sad. It's impressive how strong of an emotional effect this game can provoke through rather simple means of story telling. One of the most interesting games I have played this gen.

I'm playing Destiny. Very late to the party here, but I've leveled up a Hunter to level 22. Now I'm just running Strikes and gathering loot. I know that if I wait three weeks I will be able to buy the Taken King which will come with the prior to DLCs. So I'm holding off on DLCs. Should I just put the game away for three weeks with the thought that it will be more fun to level above 22 once I have access to the DLCs? Should I buy another game like Witcher 3 in the mean time?

FYI, I've no interest in playing multi-player Cruciable because I just experience those as instant kill frag-fests going against vastly overpowered (compared to me) players who have more experience with the maps and are probably just a lot better at the game. So at this stage for Destiny I can just run Patrols or Strikes. Don't get me wrong, though repetitive, these are all quite fun. I have not done a run of Vault of Glass yet. But I'm probably underpowered for Vault of Glass anyway. Also I haven't figured out how to access it yet.

Yep, New SMB was also lots of fun. I liked some of the new abilities introduced. That reminds me, I have Super Mario 3D Land for the 3DS, but completely forgot I had never fired it up yet.

New Super Mario Bros was also great, IMO. Do you not think so?
I think it might be the most fun Mario game, but with the worst art and music direction compared to the other main Mario games.
But! Mario Maker. I've got that and MGSV preordered but next month is just going to be Mario Maker for me.

So I finished Rapture. (The only game besides Tomb Raider I actually finished this year?)

Games on my table, waiting to be played:

Arkham Knight
Until Dawn
Alien Isolation
Witcher 3
Dragon Age Inquisition
Thief
Ground Zeroes
Slender

Think I will try Until Dawn or Dragon Age next. Will have to see what my wife is in the mood for. ;)

Also still have Bloodborne, GTA5, South Park, Outlast and Minecraft to work on...

Metal Gear Solid V! And nothing else right now (temporary ban on GTA Online for killing too many people, oops :)).

Alongside Splatoon & Yoshi Wooly World, lots of 3DS titles ....

Downloaded Dishonored for the PS4, will 'eventually' play it .... alongside the myriad other titles all forming a backlog.

Is Until Dawn actually scary, like a serious horror movie? Or is it more like cheesy 80s trash movie tongue-in-cheek scary?

It's pretty good with the jump scare but the second half of the game has some genuinely scary stuff. The game builds some tense moments and always executes. I'm always on edge about if I did the right thing to save the kids. I finished the game with 5 kids alive...going for 8 next time.

1st half is a typical teen horror flick but the second half is its own twist.

Next up: Metal Gear 5 and I'm finally going to dive into Destiny as I pre ordered the Taken King: Legendary Edition.

Bless

Played some Bloodborne last night. Ventured into the Cathedral Ward, managed to explore quite a bit without dying. :)

There is a really huge heavy dude slouching around not far from the entrance, door to the left, then up the stairs on the right. Not sure whether I should try to fight him yet. He seems slow enough that could maybe just run around him! :D

Actually they are easy enough to kill .... Have you had the kidnapping monsters yet ? They are 500 times harder to kill and can end you in one blow.... It was with the advent of those feckers I gave up ..
