Played Tomb Raider 2013 like 3 times on my PC, but now playing on NVidia Shield Console Gamestreaming from my PC in office to our 60" TV in living room. No noticeable lag... feels like playing a console game with higher quality graphics and framerates. TressFX hair looks awesome on a 60" TV. The NVidia Shield Console is one of the best tech purchases I've bought in a while.... and $199 isn't a bad price for a set top box multimedia streaming player that also plays AAA games. It's basically a console that allows me to play games I bought for my PC on any TV in the house.

Is it streaming game from your PC (so presumably you need a beefy GPU in your PC) or from the cloud computing like Playstation Now / OnLive type of thing ?

It has both gamestreaming from PC to TV, and cloud streaming games which they call GRID Gaming. GRID will require a subscription, but it's been currently free since they released the NVidia Shield Console. You don't need a beefy GPU for gamestreaming (PC>TV)... but it's always good to have for newer AAA games.

XBOX Clone Wars on XBox 360.

Trying out the XBox games on XB360 - didn't realize how big the list is now (behind the times on this one). Though of course a bunch of my favorite games are not compatible.

Well, if they can emulate an XBox on the XB360, maybe they should do it on the XBox One?

That would be golden...

Replaing some oldies Bioshock and Fallout 3. Never played fallout before but I did preorder Fallout 4 for ps4. So need to catch up.

Zombi on PS4 / Zombi U on Wii U - to compare differences.

So far other than better framerate - the amazing lens filters / light auras of Wii U version are missing in the update. Shame as the post processing filters are what gave the Wii U version that gritty feel.

Finally finished Gears 3 tonight. Been pretty busy lately and Civ5 sucked up all my gaming time a couple weeks back. Going to start playing some short XBLA games I got awhile back, Escape Goat, Crocs World, Antipole, DLC 1&2.

Well that's enough indie games for me for right now..
Antipole wasn't too exciting, repetitive.
Crocs World was a waste of time - better off playing Super Mario Bros. as it was a complete ripoff.
DLC Quest was amusing, but extremely short.

I'll save DLC Quest 2 and Escape Goat for another day.

Now it's time. Time for the big one. The game considered to be one of the best games of all time. Perhaps THE best game ever. That's a lot of hype to live up to. I have never played it before. It's time to correct that and see what I've been missing.

The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time
.

The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time.
Ooh, which version?

I don't think of it as a case of "indie games versus AAA". Games is games. I think these days it's impossible to set the two apart, people consider my games indie even though I've worked through a publisher, and big companies are making shorter games with fewer restrictions. Just a small aside really :)

Witcher 3 - PS4. Will probably say the same next month too considering how many hours you need to finish it lol

3D! :)

I'd agree with "games is games". All I care about is playing good games.

Yep. We're reaching the point where 'independent games' are basically just as mainstream as retail publisher titles so the line between them has disappeared. A poor game is a poor game ...

Although in fairness your less likely to be peeved off and more forgiving if you spent $10/20 on a poor indie game than $60/70 on a poor retail :)

Price does play a part in our expectations but this also applies to cheaper released publisher retail discs too.

Finally decided to buy a PS4 so I can play Final Fantasy XV when it comes out. Playing Bloodborne right now and it's almost too scary for me, but just as good as the other Souls games.

I have this terrible habit of playing The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass for days at a time. Then I stop for weeks, and forget what the heck I was doing, as well as completely forgetting how to navigate through the Ocean Temple quickly.

For those that haven't played it, the Ocean Temple is a timed temple, and as you progress through the game, you keep returning to it, to unlock deeper levels. You earn time by uncovering additional sands to add to your hourglass throughout the game.

Too many times I couldn't remember (efficiently) how to navigate through some of the levels, only to get to the second to last room and run out of time, meaning I had to start all over.

Glad I'm finally at what I think is the last run through this as I'm about to fight Bellum today.

Next up on my backlog is Metroid Prime Hunters.
