After that could easily just roll into the OG Doom 3 on the equally excellent dhewm3 source port engine as on a roll. Is amazing what the mod community can do with the games ID Tech 4 game engine. It was well ahead of the curve in the day and still stands up on the current HW.

Maybe he is saying “Play with me, not that damned game!!” :D My son has cats and they are always chewing on him when he plays computer games.

Sid want's attention, he'll get it be assured of that! LOL. His worst tactic is when your watching a film, lights down, fully engaged. He silently launches at you from distance and what a lump he is as he lands...

We were recently upgraded to fibre, Sid is naturally curious. Internet tech was stunned by his sheer size, asked if he could take pictures. I walk him in the early AM to avoid the village idiots on the dogs harness, just a massive cat...

Ups & Downs
  • Eats like a horse & needs a high protein diet
  • Litter box is unimaginably horrible
  • Does typical cat stuff, but he's easily twice the size of an average house cat!
  • Walks on a dog leash with authority
  • Tremendous guard, puts many a dog to shame
  • Eats the dogs dry food, she doesn't mess with him as Sid's simply far bigger, I just put more in the bowl for them both
  • He loves to be groomed with the dogs brush
  • Sleeps at the end of the bed, like it or not
  • Likes to play rough house
  • Has his own mind, being a very large male feline
Thankfully Sid is very much a gentile giant, seen him flare once. We put a stop to that immediately as he's far too big to be an aggressive cat...

Just a word of caution, we didn't look or seek such a large cat. Sid was a rescue, at four months he was already bigger than the average house cat. We then knew we had something very different on our hands. Such large cats have very specific needs and you have to learn to play their game. Some have scoffed at the need to train him, well until they see him first hand, general comment is that's a really, really big cat..

Even taken him to the vet, asked if he was ok. She said to all intents and purposes he's a very healthy young cat. She did say he may suffer diminished life expectancy due to his size. She also said is new territory as she'd never seen such a large house cat.

In short he's a lot of work, yet loyal to the hilt. Been offered a good deal of $$$$ for him, no sale he's in a safe place, he has a good deal of freedom. So why would I consider any change, money I can make, while Sid remains to be unique...

Bright Memory Infinite
A lot of fun to play, looks great, fast paced action all the way, never gets dull. Mixes melee and shooting in a very cinematic environment. It's a short game, but also often on sale for buttons. Game is kept up to date on this playthrough noticed a good few differences, little more expansion here and there and 100% stable for me.

The original Bright Memory was basically a fund raiser for the full length game and all the early adopters got the full game free, nor did it come out broken  A developer to watch :)

I was just playing it yesterday. I stopped cause the “platforming” was annoying.

Very tempted on release...
That said have played the OG Dead Space to death, feeling to spin up yet another playthrough LOL...

That all said, if you truly want to be terrified there's one and only one Sci-Fi focused horror survival to play...
I play with a mod that slightly alters the Alien's tether range and aggression. The AI has less understanding of your location, yet the Alien is far more aggressive & inquisitive, it will explore & actively hunt you across the entire level...o_O

Net result is the tension is dialled up to eleven. Play in the dark, play with decent headgear, play very carefully, best of luck as you'll need it...LOL

E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy
thumb-1920-616387.jpg

Always wanted to play this one, very much a unique and notorious game. Given I'm fan of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and some of the harder mod's (Radiophobia 3) shouldn't come as a surprise LOL.

Initial thoughts, deeply immersive, equally very strange, actually way out there. A wild mix of Cyberpunk & Warhammer 40K. The save system is beyond unusual, in mission player progress relies on checkpoints that are extremely scarce, yet stats, ammo/weapons etc. seem to save in real-time. Still working to fully understand...

Think it will be a great play if can get into the game & playstyle, if not may just prove to be too confusing & punishing. Very early days mind, but I think it's shares that same brutally hard start of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Looking at the abilities of the player as levels up you will have blast in E.Y.E. carving through the maps.

For the few that are interested, games now on sale on GOG and likely Steam for buttons. I seriously recomend searching YouTube for a "how to" as you'll need it, being the marriage of a shooter with full RPG mechanics with no hand holding.

I've played & 100% completed Streum's Space Hulk: Deathwing - Enhanced Edition at the hardest level, nor will I do again as was punishingly difficult. Streum also developed Necromunda: Hired Gun so they clearly have a taste for the War Hammer 40K universe E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy very much comes across the same without the obvious branding.

It's a very deeply immersive game, puts the player in the hot spot with it's own unique design language, deals with philosophy & meta, requires multiple plays to get the best out of it deliberately so...

So far liking...

E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy is what Cyberpunk 2077 should have been with no jank, modern graphics and an expanded storyline. Frankly as a shooter focused RPG it absolutely pisses on CDPR's far newer game and remains to be a very solid RPG...

Firefights are wild to say the very least, getting close to Radiophobia 3 (hardcore S.T.A.L.K.E.R. mod) levels of intensity and that's saying something. It's absolutely bonkers, the game's reputation stands up, both positive & negative, oof...

Guns, blades, psi, tech, hacking it's got it all and so much more. Many unique concepts, you can psi clone yourself and release the clones on your enemies or create a psi ghost to distract the enemy. You can independently fine tune the AI's aggression & spawn rate, way ahead of it's time.

Some small talk of a 2nd game or a reboot, if same team I'd be all over that in a heartbeat. Game has a lot of issues, mostly related to it's vagueness. As you get past that, man does this game pick up fast...

Can now totally see why some speak so very highly of the game and why many curse it. It's truly a bastard to get into as takes some time & effort, still learning on my end.

E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy is Cyberpunk crossed with Warhammer 40K, totally badass game that absolutely takes no prisoners...

Can see me getting lost in this one for years  My only sin was not getting into it sooner.

Can you do a screen recording of the game and share here?

Better to checkout YouTube, I'll add some links. Can drop some screen caps once I set up the game for that and get deeper into it.

What are you interested in? E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy or Radiophobia 3, latter is free on MDDB.com, former is currently on sale for like $1 on GOG which is an absolute giveaway IMO. My sin was not picking up the game sooner...

Video Radiophobia likely a problem as can only get 60 FPS in game, E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy think can as seeing upwards of 300 FPS in game, equally limited it to 144.

I own and play all :)

Currently 248 on GOG, another 60 or so on Epic, a handful on Origin. Steam doesn't work for me. Then there's the free full modpack S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games which consumes a good deal of drive space on my system...

Excellent review, decided not to play this, mostly too dark for my tastes.

I purchased this on sale at Steam.

Grounded, have been playing this coop with my son and a friend, and this is a cool, well made game, with a zen quality about it, until you find yourself in danger. I’ve discovered in coop, that in a story driven game, unless you stick completely together in your exploration and tasks, it’s more fun to be solo, but having extra friends to fight mean bugs helps a lot.

Looks like a cool game, I enjoy the Warhammer universe. Played the crap out of the original 2 RTS games.

I checked it out on Steam and I don't understand your comparison to Cyberpunk 2077. To me they are very different games. CP was delivered in rough shape but the world was well detailed and a fantastic place to go and explore, with a decent storyline with interesting characters. EYE to me just looks like a FPS where you just run around and kill stuff and the graphics look dated and not near the quality of CP.

Just my observations not intended to whip up anything.
BTW why don't you like Steam?

There are very few good cyberpunk games, E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy is both a strong shooter and a deep RPG. Cyberpunk 2077 was promised to be the same, but ended up just being a weak looter shooter with flashy graphics...

I used to travel internationally a lot for work purpose and tend to gravitate to older games so GOG it is. Not sure now, but previously Steam was a royal PIA if you switched countries a lot and I was doing so on a monthly basis.

If not a graphics snob I definitely recomend E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy, it's a challenge to get into, and to be fair it's more WH 40K than Cyberpunk but it has the look and feel. Just be warned, best to fully grasp the save system or it could be a very frustrating play. I'm not an expert in E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy by any means, but this game has definitely flipped some switches...

I'm back spending time with Cities:Skylines. Its a game that you can spend so much time and build some great cities, but it requires time investment and a learning curve

Still with E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy, however the very, very small size of the text is a growing issue. I have a work around but it absolutely rips you out of the immersion which is V-Bad as that's a big aspect of the game :( Been all over the web for a fix, seems like you just have to live with...

Might continue, might put on the back burner. Maybe back to Dead Space, Doom 3 (on source ports) or Radiophobia 3 just cant help myself LOL or actually play one of the other 300+ games for a change...

For iOS or MacOS? If iOS do a search on “golf” in the AppStore to see 30+ titles, many that can be downloaded for free to try out.

  • Grounded- Good coop game, impressive graphics, can be challenging. There is a story, if you play coop stick together when searching for labs or you’ll miss out on important story elements,
  • Dying light- I like post apocalyptic zombie games having played both Left 4 Dead, and Dead Island. This game has good cinematics, nice scenery, and seems very playable.
  • World of Warships- Since I started playing Cruisers and Destroyers again , my interest in the game was revitalized, but there are plenty of critiques that can be leveled at Wargaming.
  • Dragon Dogma- Started playing this, looking for some decent class builds online thst can hold my hand. :)
