Is it probably worth waiting on the iPad Pro rather than an iPad Air 2?
Do most of you feel that if sitting in your comfortable chair or couch, the iPad Pro is going to be "the" experience at home over a traditional iPad?
It needs to run OSX
I've been through this. Look at comment #37
I don't understand how people come up with ideas like "when the keyboardcase is attached"? You don't seriously think that apple is going to creat a frankenstein device life the surface?
These keyboard cases are atrocious.Apple won't keep making laptops forever. I think it's time that the MacBook Air is replaced. This is the point of this device. A lot of people say that they use iPads for the most part, but they still go to PCs for tasks like work and other things. Adding a keyboard case brings a lot of those things into that universe.
It's as Apple says, 'It just works'

What is the problem with using the touch keyboard?
Mark my words:will never bring out a keyboard-ipad combo like the surface.
If you asked MacBook owners why they chose a laptop over a tablet, a lot would probably say that they would prefer to have a physical keyboard and an accurate pointer. It's part of what makes this an all-in-one device.
Remember the keyboard dock that Apple made for the original iPad? So yes, Apple did think that people might like to use keyboards with iPads. However, Apple stopped making the dock, and instead of making a keyboard case/cover, they have left the iPad keyboard market to third-party manufacturers. The Apple bluetooth keyboard does work with the iPad if you are so inclined, but Apple hasn't made a keyboard specific for the iPad. And it's not like the idea didn't occur to them, it's more that they tried it, and decided that it's not worth it.
Now, why could that be? Well, I'm but a sample of one, but when I got the original iPad, I thought I would use a keyboard with it a lot. I had a bluetooth keyboard that came with a Mac, so I even bought a bag that fit the keyboard + the iPad, in anticipation of carrying both around. But I quickly found that I didn't use the iPad with a physical keyboard. Either I typed on the on-screen keyboard, or if I needed to work on a long document, I went to my desktop or laptop. The iPad is great for getting out a first draft while on the go or sitting on a couch, but for editing large documents, the screen is too small. Anyway, by the time third-party keyboard cases were widely available, I had found that I wasn't interested in them, and I wouldn't be interested in one even if Apple came out with one.
Now, I'm just one user. But I'm inclined to think that Apple decided that users like me is more in the majority of iPad users than users who want keyboards with their iPad, and that is why they don't make keyboards for iPads anymore.
And this mythical iPad Pro people imagine sounds to me more like a MacBook Air with touch screen and detachable keyboard than a souped up iPad. And the only reason I can think of that it isn't feasible to own both a Mac and iPad and use whichever device best fit the task is to save on cost. Otherwise, what is wrong with having a specific device for one thing, and another device for another thing?

What I think is going to happen is that Apple will release an iPad with a bigger screen just so people have a more tangible reason to upgrade, but will keep the same broken iOS (including folders displaying up to nine icons only...). Simply because they don't know how to do anything better.
I hope they just do a 12 mba retina. Last thing I wanna see while on vacation are people taking pictures with a 12 inch iPad smh
If you get bothered on vacation by people taking pics with an iPad then you're having a terrible vacation
It's not that it bothers me it's more like realizing how dumb people are. They have iPhones and Galaxy smartphones with much better cameras yet they use an iPad. See it in Vegas all the time
I see it also and I wouldn't ever do it myself but if they want to take pics with a giant screen over a phone who are you to call them dumb? They're not hurting anyone
They are potentially blocking other people's views.
Exactly. I'm asking for a MacBook Air with a touch screen, plus all the stuff that iOS uses to it's advantage, for the same or less money
I'm also expecting an ultra thin MacBook later on with the stuff that the MacBook Pro has, at 12 or 15 inches, for the same price points as the MacBook Air.
You must be s very small person
MacBook Air + touch screen = ModBook.
I'm sorry, but every time I read this post I have to laugh at you. MacBook Air + touch screen = ModBook.
