If they don't go up to a real screen size then I simply won't upgrade and will look at alternatives. Like the phone hate the screen size, 4.7-5.0" is just right.

I'm a former apple fan boy who got dismayed with apples progress with iOS and left for android 2 years ago. I enjoy android and thought I'd never be back but iOS 8 is appealing to me. A larger screen and I may well come back and I'm excited to do so! Same size screen and I won't. Simple as

What if it is?
I don't see what the big deal is... Screen size isn't what makes or breaks a phone. If you want a big screen, get a phablet.

Would be bummed out. I loved my LG G2 screen size but I am accustomed to iOS operating system. Give me 5.5 Tim Cook make it happen!!!!

What don't you see? People want to use ios on a larger screen.

I do see that. And yes, it would be a nice feature... BUT if the screen size wouldn't change, it wouldn't be the end of the world. To me there are way more important things such as battery life. Apple try to make things as small/thin as possible which means compensating one feature for another. I'd gladly take improved battery life over a slightly bigger screen :)

Perfect solution is to merely make 3 iPhone sizes.

1. The current size and call it the "iPhone mini"

2. 4.7" screen and call it iPhone 6

3. 5.5-6" screen and call it the iPhone XL.
Make them all start with 32gb of storage and make it only 50 more to go to 64 and you've got it.

Steal some more android features and allow sideloading apps for advanced users (when you first boot it, select advanced or classic mode) and you've got the perfect phone(s).

You don't want a larger iPhone? Buy the classic.

You want a larger one? Buy it.

You want the phablet? Buy that.

Problem solved

See you are making to much sense, Apple wouldn't think of it.

Then I won't get it. Simple as that.

Doesn't get any simpler.

I'm not giving up my S5 for a 4" iPhone.

Sorry Apple, I'm done. I'm keeping my 5S as a backup phone for now. But once it goes it will be my last Apple iPhone unless the screen gets bigger.

Well i just bought a new 5S today and my S5 is on ebay, it became a lagfest after 1 month and other issues. Would never buy another samsung.

This is a very good argument, back in 2012, Apple claimed that the 4" is the perfect size, remember this ad? iPhone 5- Thumb.

Apple has a reputation of doing things their own ways and not caving into demands. People want Apple to do a hybrid, Apple believe hybrids are "confusing". People want Apple to implement touchscreen on their Macs, Apple did not. People want a budget phone, Apple did not give us that.

So the question still remains whether Apple will cave into public demands and give us a 4.7" screen. Remember all these 4.7" are rumours until officially announced on stage.

The same was said last year, rumors of a bigger device and the usual, and nothing came of it, wouldnt surprise me if the same happened this year.

The chances of that happening are very slim...

no its not

I have to say I'm not too thrilled for the phone to be any larger than the iPhone 5/5S size. But I've always seemed to adapt since I moaned when the screen got larger from the 4S to the 5. I'm just excited for the 6!!!!

I'd keep my s5, I've said for years a large screen iPhone will be the last phone I buy in years. .... still waiting for a usable screen (for my needs).

If it does get a bigger screen, I'll get the 6s since I just bought a 5s two months ago. I really hope it does though. I have been wanting an iPhone with a bigger screen for portable movie viewing since I got my first iPhone (4).
