Ended up with a 512 instead, I must be mad but I got such a good deal with EE that my remaining spare budget covered the cost of a 512 rather than a 256.

Ordered a black as the back of the gold looked too pinkish. They got the frame correct IMO. I’ll wait to see the opinions of people when the embargoes lift next week and swap if need be.
In Australia the black went into delayed shipping first and then the desert and white and the natural hung around for awhile. Of course could mean nothing since volume of each could be different but it does line up with the poll

I’m going with a white Pro Max 256GB. I had the blue 15PM, and the camera bump looks pretty dark, bordering on black in most indoor lighting. I actually haven’t had a white phone since I had a silver iPhone 7. So white seemed to be the biggest contrast to the blue color I had last year.
I’m feeling so nostalgic about a white phone as well! My last was the 4, too, all others have been either rose gold or pink. I also had the blue titanium 15PM for while before swapping it with the 15 plus in pink.
But yes, I miss having a white phone so much. I always use a case because I drop my phone too much (total klutz) so the cases I like tend to look better on white. Anyway,
I’m super excited and can’t wait to get my white 16PM!
The other thing about color is that the whole issue is overblown, since in the end it really doesn't make much difference, especially to the majority of us who use cases. If we get tired of the color, we just change from a clear case to whatever color we want, as often as we want.

I felt the same way about Deep Purple…if I’m not certain about a color I buy a back up phone. In fact I buy 2 iPhones every year and return one in case I don’t like a color or the phone is janky/messed up (while rare has happened).My face when I saw the desert titanium in person:
Regretting this color right now. Shocked how it changes color so much in certain light. It is not good.

I have had a black phone since the 7 (minus the 11 PM, went green), went Natural last year and loved it, decided to go with the flagship this year and definitely wish I went black. It is the best black in years.
I usually do the speciality color (non-gold ones) or Black as my back up. Also yes, this year had the best black Pro Max in a long time. It's very inky and black...not too gray or silvery.
