Any reason why you are going with a smaller size?Doing a downgrade this year.Currently 16 pro max black. Going to a 17 Pro Silver.
Something different. Still not 100% sure. Since the 12 always had the max models.

iPhone 17 Pro Max in Cosmic Orange and pairing it with a green TechWoven case. It’s going to give Master Chief from Halo.
I've gone with silver/white for the last few years and prefer the Pro over the Pro Max (tried it for a year and had to downsize.) I think I'm going to start doing the yearly color as well.
I like how go big and go orange show strong correlation. I’m doing the 17 Pro, this exquisite colorway combo. If it’s good enough for Michelangelo and Master Chief! Also screams Coleman Chic, which I love.
I recall a year ago when I expressed my wish for Apple to release an orange iPhone Pro, as it was my favorite color. The rumors began circulating, and I was thrilled that it was finally happening.
However, when I saw the new unibody design with its ugly glass patch, I was completely disappointed. I frequently change phone cases, and I believe that not all colors complement an orange phone. In contrast, white / silver are the most universally appealing options in this regard.
While orange may be bold and intriguing, I anticipate that it will become monotonous and exhausting after a few months. Therefore, I believe that the most versatile, simple, and elegant choice is silver.
Additionally, I consider that any potential scratches or dents could reveal the original (silver) color of the unibody frame.

Blue looks best for that. Darkest. Oled screens. You want a dark border.
Gonna get the normal 17 in black. Cannot justify any of the other models tbh. Coming from a 14 pro with a dying battery.
I struggle to find how the color of your phone can be such words as "monotonous and exhausting". It's just a phone color. In a week you won't even remember which color you bought.

Getting the 17 pro max in silver. NO idea when I will get it since it was my company that say they put in the order. Probably end of october sometime
I had similar thoughts and discussions with an interior designer. They led me away from making my kitchen olive green saying that such colors are getting boring after some time. I find that in my case the same happens with phones when I get a device that’s of an unusual color (sierra blue, midnight green, etc.). Like I mentioned earlier - I change phone cases a lot so I pay attention to the color combinations.

You know the 3rd party case makers are loving that Apple case. What a blunder!
They did that weird patch thing because the Apple logo is lower and a regular circle wouldn’t line up properly. Looking at 3rd party clear cases with MagSafe, it’s obvious they’re struggling : 😂🤣🥴
That said, I don’t use a MagSafe charger, so I’m just looking for a pure clear case, probably Ringke Fusion—same as I had for my 16 Pro Max last year.which will look nice and clean.
