Other What iPhone 17 Model & Color Are You Getting?

I landed on the blue Pro Max by process of elimination as opposed to loving it. I was pumped when the first rumors of an orange option surfaced and loved it in pics. But then I watched the hands-on videos of it in real life and oooof. Not what I was anticipating.

Coming from a 16PM, I am interested in two ends of the spectrum. The 17 base in green, or 17PM in blue.

Really like that the 17 has most of the pro features now, but the battery life of the 17PM is insane.

Yesterday it was really difficult to choose between jumping to the next Pro or Air—but loss of Spatial Photos, 5G mmWave and a single speaker kinda tanked the Air for me. When it comes to colors…I'm at a crossroads between Deep Blue and Silver. I just don't know!! The Pro colors this year are awful. I miss the natural grey.

Pro max orange but I don’t get how color really matters as most will use a case anyhow, people who pay $1200 for a phone and use it without a case I just don’t understand

I’m so torn between a Space Black Air or the Deep Blue 17 Pro. Less than 2 days to decide… or I may just keep hold of my 16 Pro 😅

I am in your camp on the color rankings. I could probably live with blue if I had to. Orange I feel like would be returned before the 14 day window after the FOMO wears off.

yeah that orange is so loud, it will get tired very fast.

iPhone Air in Space Black

I'm coming from a Galaxy S25 Ultra (I was a long time iPhone user before), I had the iPhone 14 Pro Max before that and I can't deal with the size and weight anymore. The iPhone Air is light and has a luxury look to it that I was hoping the 17 Pro was going to have, but unfortunately it does not. Plus being able to throw a bumper case on it is what sold me in the end. Can't wait!

Same on all accounts. LOVE the silver, but I'm kinda annoyed by the stark white back on it. The blue phone looks less jarring to my eye, but I don't really love the shade of blue. I can work with it, but enh...

Buuut i will end up getting the iPhone 17 pro in blue, because knowing myself i will end up wondering if i am missing out on the extra features smh

I will do in store pick up though to see and handle the air in person, its definitely the most interesting phone this year to me

Yeah, the Air looks gorgeous but I find the telephoto on the iPhone Pro quite handy. Not so much for photos but more like easy access binoculars. Also, longer battery life is always a plus.

I’m buying a 17 Pro to replace my SE3 daily driver. Seriously though, it’s got to be the ugliest iPhone Pro released so far.

I have a suspicion that the air will be the most popular model for the general population. It will have the best shelf appeal for anyone visiting an Apple Store, and maybe be a conversation starter around the office etc.

I dunno. I think the 17 will be the silent, steady seller. I do agree with the Air's shelf appeal though.

I'll probably buy a silver or maybe dark blue 17 Pro, not certain yet. And will get this hopefully making a black iPhone again:
