Black 7 Plus 256gb Verizon model. Hope I don’t miss that larger screen and Qualcomm modem on my GSM-only iPhone X...

Going from a 128 GB space grey iPhone 6 to a 256 GB space grey iPhone X.

My 6 has been on its last legs for quite a while:
  • The front-facing microphone which Siri/dictation uses hasn't worked for about a year and a half at least, which means neither of those features have worked at all.
  • There are faint yellow "tracks" down each side of the screen and a bit in the upper left of the screen where it just looks… smudged, like the screen and the bezel are kind of bleeding together.
  • I had to replace the battery back in July; even though I knew I'd only be holding onto it for a few more months, I knew the original battery wasn't going to make it. The replacement isn't much better… battery life still sucks.
  • Performance has sucked across the board for a long time, especially for any heavy I/O tasks, and iOS 11 has just made it worse. Last time I had an iPhone this laggy and with a UX this bad was the iPhone 3G running iOS 4.
  • I've never been particularly pleased with the speed or reliability of Touch ID on this thing. It works okay for my thumbs, unless my hands are wet, but it's never seemed to work reliably at all for my index fingers.
  • Bluetooth has been pretty crap. Most days it syncs up just fine with my AirPods with no issues at all. Other days, it drops the connection for no apparent reason at all, several times per minute. Insanely aggravating.
I've owned an iPhone 3G, 4, 4S, 5, 6, and now will have the X. Out of all the iPhones I've owned so far, the 6 has been the most disappointing — which is kind of ironic, since it's also the iPhone I've had the longest. I think the iPhone X is going to be a huge step up from what I have now, and I'm hoping I can hold onto it for at least three years.

My new iPhone X next week will be replacing a 16 gig black iPhone 5s… Can't wait for the upgrade! What is your iPhone X replacing?

Gold 128GB 7 plus. 128GB is more than enough for me, but I had to go for a 256GB iPhone X due to lack of options.

One of my iPhone 7 phones. I wasn't ready to blow $3000 on two phones. But I might end up replacing my other phone with a Huawei Mate 10 Pro.

128 GB Silver iPhone 6S,

Which replaced a 64 GB SG iPhone 6 Plus

The X is to me the 10.5 ipad Pro of iPhones; the perfect in between device for those that miss the screen size and superiority of the plus but prefer the more discrete form factor of the 6.

It's a bit lonely to know that I'm probably the only one here till now going up from a Silver 16 GB iPhone 5 to a Space Gray 64 GB iPhone X..! Lol.

Surprising amount of 7’s here. Is nobody else but me planning to keep their phone for at least 2 years?
I'm not surprised- imo the 7 was one of the most lacklustre releases, worse than the 8.

Anyway, I'm upgrading from a 6 space grey 64gb which started to lag real bad with poor battery life.
