It seems like 1.1.3 is the first update that those with jailbroken phones have actually found useful enough to upgrade to and lose their apps. Of course, not everyone, but it seems like more have for 1.1.3 than any other update.

I am running a clean 1.1.3

I miss u 1st OS

1.1.3, but I really miss:

NES emulator
Springboard customizing
Navizon, but new maps took care of that.

Come on SDK!!!

Did I mention I really miss NES emulator? But I'm not going back. 'twas a risky love affair, and I walked away unscathed. I dare not return.

None of the Above

I'm running Vista on my iPhone. Isn't everyone?

i mean... clean 1.1.3

I'm just waiting for the SDK. I get nervous doing things that Apple tells me not to!

Two conditions:
No iphone
Have an iBrick

Would have been clear if they were added to the poll.

So if you don't have an iPhone, don't vote in the poll. :)

If you have an 'iBrick', pick the latest firmware you had when it actually worked?

I couldn't get Vista to load on mine! So I went with Android...

I can guaranty that that URL will not brick his iPhone, unlike all the other solutions that are available today. They are full of issues.
Besides this close to the SDK it is not too smart to mess with the iPhone unless you don’t care what happens to it and you are made of money.

Exactly what value did you add to this thread by such lame attack?

About as much as you add with 98% of your posts.
Thanks.

Was that from a poll of just your opinion?

I took a look at your 80 posts and it seems the vast majority of them are simply attacking people, that means to me that your opinion is not very significant.

You can if you use two different computers, vote one iPhone on each computer.

No. Once you vote on a poll, it will show that you have already voted no matter what computer you use. It is tied to member names. I would have to register a new name on the forums unless the poll is setup to allow more than one choice.

I run a vB forum so I know.

I stand corrected, thanks

Jb 1.1.2 here but I'm going clean 1.1.3 when I get home. My phone part app has been very screwy today and I'm not sure what I installed to get it there. Sometimes the handset has no sound and I have to talk in speakerphone to hear anything. To fix this sometimes I have to plug in headphones but sometimes the iPod loads up and starts playing randomly and hangs up the phone.

Also sometimes I try to dial out and it immediately bounces back to Call Failed, locks the display, and I have to hit the sleep/wake button a bunch of times before the phone responds.

Yeah, no more jail break for me. My phone didn't used to do this.

I'm running a jailbroken 1.1.3 (dev team method), with the new baseband. (So maps 'locate me', etc all work fine). I've also moved /Applications to /var/root/Media/Applications with a symmlink.. Make sure to set permissions properly after moving it if you're thinking of it ;)

i was on 1.1.2, then i jailbroke it to see what all the fuss was about
installed lots and lots of apps, but each one, i messed around with for a minute or two and then didn't use it again
so when 1.1.3 came out, i wiped them all off the iphone and installed 1.1.3

the only thing i miss is using Summerboard to put wallpaper behind the icons on the homescreen. oh, and being able to mount the disk on the Finder desktop and change the dialtones to spoken words when i'm dialling a phonenumber

both of these i expect someone will produce an SDK-compatible version so i'm happy to wait until after that is available.

while the amount of thirdparty apps that are available already is impressive, and kudos to all those guys and gals that have been developing them all these months, to be honest, there aren't really very many that are very useful. and i didn't find any that were enough to stop me from upgrading

This is exactly my thoughts on the matter! Word for word (except for mounting it in finder)

Clean 1.1.3

I've used a Jailbroken version of an earlier OS, but resorted to a clean OS months ago.

1.1.2 just adds a 200MB of 'stuff' I don't need. The only reason I moved from Jailbroken 1.0.2 is I thought there were legit Safari refinements.

I'm on 1.1.1.

I jailbroke it, not really knowing if it would work, it did :)

I then built the toolchain for 1.1.1, not really not expecting that I could get it to, I did :)

So... now I've got going writing apps with a 1.1.1 set-up, I'm very reluctant to disturb it prior to the SDK coming out.

However, unfortunately, it's now getting confusing knowing whether the latest native apps are for 1.1.3 only, or what?

I'll also have to make a big step when I port my apps to 1.1.3+

Back to a Clean 1.1.3 with some leftovers

I went along with the Jailbreaks as they came along. I was holding out for a couple weeks with 1.1.2 JailBroken iPhone to see how 1.1.3 was going. Even with the 1.1.3 problems reported... I finally did the the Dev Team Break.

After some problems getting it to work I finally had it done. Unfortunately, I wish the instructions said to uninstall everything except OpenSSH and BSD Subsystem and Installer App.

After, I could not uninstall Extended Preferences and got a Main Script Error which made me loose the Settings App Icon. I could not SSH back into the Phone to move or copy the Preference App to the root which may have fixed settings.

I gave up and installed a fresh 1.1.1. Then upgraded via iTunes to new Clean 1.1.3. With some minor problems. Re-Set Network settings...turning WiFi on and off seemed to fix Safari issues. Mail accounts on and off with some reboots fixed those.

The left-overs....I don't know if its part of 1.1.3 but in 1.1.2 - I added the ability to touch the Battery Icon and it would switch to a Number Percentage of power remaining. Well this still works. Perhaps my Extended Preferences setting just carried over.

Now, il will wait for an easy 1.1.3 with new Baseband break....or until 1.1.4..... which I believe will come out on SDK release day - with the first advance release SDK given companies that have created new Apple approved Native Apps.

Thanks to all for information I gleaned form here.
