clean 1.1.3
hungry for apps...

I'm on JB 1.1.1 , I don't think I will go to JB 1.1.2 or JB 1.1.3 since there is no need. The clean 1.1.3 is awesome though since that's what my iPod came with OOTB.

Clean most up todate version. I just don't see the need at the moment to potentially break my phone just to have some more apps on it. iCal, Video and Phone are good enough for me.

Clean 1.1.3 here, went from T-Mobile to AT&T so I didn't have to deal with all the unlocking stuff. I also like being able to update without wondering if my phone will work or not.

1.1.1 jailbroken & unlocked

For the last 4 months I was rockin' a 1.0.2 unlocked phone here in London with a Vodafone sim in it. I never ran any of the 3rd party apps available in Installer and the phone ran super sweet.

But I was getting fed up of the low call volume, low ringer volume and wanted to be able to open more kinds of attachments in Mail.

So only a few days ago I upgraded to 1.1.1 jailbroken and unlocked. Still not running any of the 3rd party apps and so far so good. Sound is louder and seems reliable so far.

Clean 1.1.3 - I tried a jailbreak on my iPod Touch 1.1.2 and to be honest its not that great. Like many others, played with the apps a bit, got bored and haven't done that much apart from use it how I did previously - music, video, browsing and stuff.

The iPhone is going to stay clean and in anticipation of the softwares that we can expect post SDK. Although that said, I really don't need too much different on the iPhone. I'd like MMS and a bit more in the way of PDA apps - ToDo would be nice. But not much else for me thanks all the same.

1.1.3 new baseband, or not to 1.1.3 new baseband?

I must admit, I love my 3rd party apps AND want the 1.1.3 upgrade. But am I right in understanding from the wiki that as a 1.1.2 jailbroken ATT subscriber, I only have two options if I want 1.1.3 upgrade:

1) Clean upgrade to get new 1.1.3 baseband with no hope of jailbreaking

-> or <-

2) Soft upgrade to 1.1.3 with OLD baseband and ability to jailbreak?

Then why am I seeing responses on this poll that claim 1.1.3 jailbroken upgrades with NEW baseband? I am very confused. I love my 3rd party apps but really want that new baseband toooOoo!!!

why would anyone actually keep 1.02 or earlier clean what retards

It's easily done. You're gonna get folk that simply use the iPhone as a phone and not an iPod. As a result they simply charge their phone off the wall charger and never connect it to their computers after activation.

These people probably aren't aware that newer firmware is available but then again, I don't expect them to be reading these forums.

I did my husband's phone the hard way, and my phone via the offical quickie way from installer. Went quick and everything is fine (ok the maps locator feature needs help)...

Now - Why on earth would anyone still be on 1.1.1 and earlier either jailbroken or not?

Would change my poll answer if possible, but I went from jailbroken OTB 1.1.2 to jailbroken 1.1.3 (unlocked--I've been w/ Cingular/ATT for almost 5 years)... Everything works great--all phone functions, Maps locate, etc.... It was a pain downgrading again to 1.1.1 then 1.1.2 (hard to believe getting your phone properly into DFU restore can be so touchy!!), but well worth it!

So you mean the dev team's upgrade from the installer app right? And does that upgrade the baseband or do a soft install? Been hard for me to find that out. That looks like the easiest way, so maybe I'll have to do it that way if it upgrades the baseband. Thanks.

I did a "soft-update" to 1.1.3 and it was going great -- for about 10 minutes. Then, an app that I'd just installed crashed the phone and sent it into recovery mode, so I had to do a "clean" 1.1.3 install.

Several attempts to go down to 1.1.1, jailbreak and upgrade have resulted in failure -- for some reason, the phone reports an "invalid SIM" in 1.1.1, which makes it impossible to do some of the steps described in the downgrade/upgrade tutorials.

So, here I sit in 1.1.3, missing my netflix queue manager, RSS reader, and games. Hoping that the SDK (or a better tutorial) comes out soon to relieve my distress.

1.1.3 jailbroken

I always upgrade to the latest jailbroken version a few days after it comes out and I see that there are no real issues with it (from the comments of others). I've not had any problems with any jailbreak procedure.

Love my 3rd party apps - mostly games - PocketGuitar, iPhysics, Pinball, iBlackjack, iSlots, iSolitaire, iCrossword, iBooks, iDigger, and Domino.

But I spend most of the time in Safari, Phone, or watching the latest Music Videos or movies - usually while taking the Light Rail here in Denver to go downtown.

But wish Apple would "fix" or "add" Outlook Notes sync (although I'm working on a Windows-side app that does that), and have a quick "Airplane" mode switcher app and cut and paste as well as ability to phone number on a calendar pop-up (i.e. a conference call number).

Hopefully with the SDK there will be a wealth of new apps/features coming out. Time will tell.

I've been tested.....I am Clean!!!

Clean 1.1.3......For Now!

If the SDK turns out to be a disappointment, I will have no choice but to break my phone....jailbreak it that is!

Clean 1.1.3 over here!

I tried jailbreaking but always got an error going from 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 because of my PC.. and to be honest when on 1.1.1 most of the apps seemed to be pretty glitchy and not really worth the effort.. so on a clean 1.1.3 i felt so much better! However, I still want the jailbreak to work for future iPhone fw upgrades for those who use it :D

Wow, how did people get "None of the above"???

Btw, 1 vote of 1.1.2 jailbreak, but it's really dozens (lost track) sold...
(typically to countries with no iPhone service mind you)
