I'm assuming I can get a 38mm stainless steel with a nice Milanese Loop band for $500, maybe $550.

If SS is not available in this range I'll be quite disappointed.

Don't really want a sport with plastic looking band. Figure paying $200 more than a sport will get me a nicer model.

Hmmm, I wonder if they may suggest that we buy AppleCare also? That would jump the price up further!

Yep, to quote John Gruber, "I expect the tech press to have the biggest collective sh*it-fit in the history of Apple-versus-the-standard-tech-industry sh*it-fits" when the prices of the steel and gold Apple Watches are announced.

Definitely lol :D

-The sport edition will obviously start at $349
-:apple:Watch could start at $549, but could reach $1000 or more with a fancy band and space black finish
-:apple:Watch edition will start at $3000 or more and that's with white sports band :p . For the fancy leather bands with gold buckles they'll charge you another grand. :D

Factor in possible price increases for the increased size, and those things could get quite pricey (especially the SS space black and :apple:Watch edition obviously).

The day I don't need to have an iPhone in my pocket to use all the Watch features I'll probably spend up to $500 on it.

But as it stands now I'll either not get one or I'll get the cheapest one around $200 if I like the looks of it.

No more than €700 = $800 for Stainless Steel 42mm version with link bracelet.

That's because like other watch pieces, :apple: Watch won't be 'timeless' next year. Over time the tiny battery will also weaken due to daily charging and discharging.

I'm willing to listen if Apple offers a trade-in program prior to next year's model.

$10-20K is ridiculous even for the wealthy when you consider the Apple Watch will probably be upgraded yearly. I'm not sure I would want to justify those prices knowing that it would be outdated a year later.

I'm budgeting £350 for the standard size entry model with a white plastic strap. If it costs more than that then Apple can go and....themselves.

No interest for the moment

I adopted the iMac (Intel) when it first came out. I adopted the iPad first generation weeks after it was offered and I'm still using it. I sleep with my iPod touch. When the MBA came out, at first, it was way too expensive and I had no interest. Now, I could not live without my MBA. I feel the same for the watch. It will be too expensive for me anyway - I would never want to spend more than $100 for a watch. But later, when it will be autonomous and you won't need an $800 iPhone to make it work, and when it'll become more affordable, I may get one.

$400 for the 38mm with the Stainless Steel Case and Black Classic Buckle or the Black Sport Band.

Well, I want the Stainless model. I'd say that 600 is probably my max for that, otherwise I'll just go Sport and see if the utility of it proves useful enough to step it up.

You do realize that the starting price for the watch is $349? Are you saying you might get one if you can find it used/refurb for $200?

stainless steel

Apple Watch (stainless steel--I like the great band choices)

42mm

$499 max

doesn't make sense to me to pay more for a watch that will have a much shorter shelf life than traditional luxury watches.

Quite possibly yes. And I'll wait till Apple talks price before I really think too hard about it. Analysts can say whatever they want but it's not proof till Apple says it.

Code:
I am going for a 42mm Space gray watch Sport.
I think Apple I going to charge an extra of 25% for the larger one.

So $ 435 for the watch and $ 75 for the shipping because i have to import it to my country. Will not wait for a release here.

Woon je toevallig dichtbij de grens? Dan gewoon in Duitsland kopen. Wanneer ie uit is, rijd ik in ieder geval zo snel mogelijk naar Düsseldorf om de roestvrijstalen 42mm te halen, haha.

I'd be willing to pay up to €600 for the stainless steel 42mm version. However it totally depends on the reviews whether or not I'm going for the first gen.

What is an "MBA"? Master of Business?
