"Dave Matthews Band" still is one of the greatest (imo) but i might be a little biased cause i am a drummer:p

I recently started listening to Vedera's new cd called "Stages" i love her voice.

Go listen to it. i really recommend it!

Did they have any other recognizable hit beside "The Logical Song"? I know of several people who like them, but I simply don't like that song at all.

Well, this calls for a response......re other recognisable hits, I cannot say, as chart placings were not (and are not) why I buy music. "The Logical Song" is not their best song, to my taste. However, actually, I really do like "Rudy", "Take The Long Way Home", "Crime Of The Century" and "Goodbye Stranger" as well.

Cheers

Thanks for the recommendations. I'll check those out.
I'm not a fan of charts either; many of my favorite bands have never been anywhere close.

Radiohead
Wilco
Why?
The National
The Flaming Lips
The Smiths
Spoon
Grizzly Bear
Blur
Animal Collective
Yo La Tengo
Gorillaz

Probably a toss up between Radiohead, Why? & Yo La Tengo for number one.

Pearl Jam is definitely #1. Also do love Dave Matthews Band.

That's funny. I'm posting regularly on a DMB board, and besides ofc DMB, everyone is drooling over Pearl Jam and Radiohead. :D

On the above-mentioned board, Carter is often referred to as a divine entity :p He is seriously one of the best drummers in the last 30 years. Only Vinnie Colaiuta is better IMO.

I go with my own flow. I have no single favorite band or artist, but several. Junior Boys, Madrugada, Radiohead, Pearl Jam, Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, Boards Of Canada, Laurent Garnier, Björk and M83 are only a few.

Then again, every time I play Radiohead, my heart leaps a little.

Older Bands:
Something Corporate
Jack's Mannequin
Say Anything
Original Taking Back Sunday (Circa 2000)
Jimmy Eat World

Newer Bands:
A Rocket To The Moon
Asking Alexandria
The Number Twelve Looks Like You
Fear Before The March of Flames
Every Avenue

There's a lot more, but that's a fair assortment of the different genres i listen to. haha =D

older bands are the bands who have been around a lot longer than the newer bands (i put jack's mannequin up there because andrew mcmahon has been around forever.)

depends on the mood i'm in. some days my favorite band is spoon. other days, it's rilo kiley.

some other bands/artists i'm fond of:

the strokes
leona naess

Radiohead
Wilco
Why?
The National
The Flaming Lips
The Smiths
Spoon
Grizzly Bear

The Monkees

If you like all those crappy bands he listed, then yes.

How could you say that? You like radiohead too!

Haha, pretty good! I kept going back and forth between the reply and your post, wondering what I was missing!

U2 / Pink Floyd / Simple Minds / Above & Beyond

Any or all. Take your pick, I can listen to any one of them any day of the week.
