I named my iBook "Quazador", when I first got it. Dunno why.

Airport Express: Whitechapel
MBP: Waterloo
PC: Westminster

Mac Friggin Pro ( I was really happy the day it came lol)

My MBP for work is called Fancy Pants because i installed 10.5 DP on it :D

My MacBook Pro's name is Taylor <my last name here>'s MacBook Pro, but my hard disk is named Silentium (perfection in Latin). Its aptly named windows partition (used for gaming only) is lolredmond.

In the case of my iMac, I haven't named it anything other than Taylor <last name>'s iMac with a generic hard disk name.

macbook="Eveline" named for a song named Eveline by nickel creek
iPod="Eleanor" named for the beatles song Eleanor rigby
External harddrive="DATA" idk why

PowerBook G4: Beth (Can I make it any easier for you?)
iPod nano 1G: Neferlin (I have no idea where that came from...)
Orange shuffle: Phoenix (It's orange, phoenixes are orange)

When I first got my G5, it was named "Pentane".

When I added a second HD and moved the OS over onto it, I renamed the system to "Pentene". If I add a 3rd HD, I might rename it to Pentyne :)

While the G5 --> Pent* naming sequence fits nicely, it was also coincidentally my 5th Mac desktop. As such, while the previous ones were not "Methane, Ethane, Propane, Butane, Pentane...", the next one might work off of a "Gen 6th" (Hexane), or it may reflect how many CPU cores it contains...might have to jump to Octane :) I haven't decided yet.

The current notebook is simply "Lapcat".

And of course, my IBM laptop running XP at work is "Iwannamac" :D

-hh

for a while my imac was named pippin while my motorola l2 was merry since i would sync via bluetooth. (i know im a huge lotr tool)

What did you name your iPod?

Just curious, what are the names of your new iPods?

I have a new nano, which is AWESOME, and I named it Fatty.

iMac - Andrew's iMac (very original!)

iPod Nano (2nd gen. 8GB) - The Traveller (I bought it so that I'll have something to listen to during my upcoming long-haul flights.)

iPod Shuffle (1st gen. 512MB) - The Runner (self explanatory!)
