Both.

Many people on the forum who have bought the band have ended up with scratches on the watch. Some here were affected before they knew what the loop could do and others were affected even after trying to be very careful. If the band does scratch the watch body, it will be a lot more noticeable than a SS type model. Take it slow and deliberate when handling and you may be just fine.
I mix up a Milanese with a Series 4 space grey Aluminium and have never had a problem with it somehow scratching the watch. No problem whatsoever. Unless you're deliberately scraping the metal of the band against the watch screen or casing, I cannot see how a band would do this.

Plenty of others on here have had the problem. Good for you that you haven’t had a scratch. I think giving the forum members a heads up was apropos.

Can I return the band I got with the Watch and get a refund for it, or can I Just exchange it for another one (Store pickup on Friday).

I really like the feel of the braided loop. It is very comfortable. The downside is it stretches out. I normally wear a 6 in s Solo loop. My braided loop from last year is a size 4. I just tried it on and it is loose on my wrist. I wouldn't trust it to give me accurate readings. I won't be getting the braided loop again, especially at $100 dollars.
That is nice to know. I was just about to order a braided loop. Thanks.

I have so many straps coming out of my arse so I went for the most basic Solo loop. Got to love the fake AliExpress straps!

For my S7 SS gold I ordered the California Poppy Leather Link. But I’ll leave that band in the box and save it for the day that my wife gets my watch (which somehow could coincide with the release of S8 or S9😉😇🤔😬)

For my own regular use I bought a Saddle Brown Leather Loop.

For bicycling, workouts and sleep I bought a cheap Ironstone/Black silicone band on eBay, with holes similar to the Nike band.

Plus I got some sport bands from ebay a year ago when I considered buying the S6. Those were Cocoa, Wine Red and Walnut, I figured they would go well with SS gold.

Really eager to check out all the combos on Friday😃

…now I’m just considering whether I should get an extra Leather Loop while some stores still got some leftover stock🤷‍♂️ Any thoughts? Anyone else bought double or more of the same strap?

Does anyone have a midnight leather link? It seems to be a shade darker than the black leather link.
I just got my Sequoia leather link and like it so far.

I got the Clover Sport Band. Clover because I love the green color. Sport Band because that's about the only band that will fit around my wrist (boney not fat).

I ordered it with this band.
Not sure if the blue will make it too flashy for me lol. Just in case i also ordered the "plain black" version of the same band. That one won't ship until november, so i got plenty of time to cancle if i want to keep the blue one.

For comparison, the "stealth" version:
