So... it either smells of fish, cocoa or sewers which is it?Sadly the smell that comes off the Ceres brewery in Arhus is slightly off putting - it's like being in Hull![]()

There are a couple of cocoa mills which are supposed to give the place a chocolatey smell on certain days, but I don't have a good sense of smell so I can't say I've noticed it.Completely off topic - what's the cocoa smell in Hull? I can only think of Rowntrees, but that's in York.

Still, you're safe from any nasty pongs if you take shelter in one of our splendid pubs, of which we have several (see how I cunningly got the thread back on topic there?).
Actually all Fuller's beers are excellent. ESB is awesome!!!!
Old Speckled Hen is another good pint, but be aware of the fact that they've fiddled with it a bit...
Is that a nice way of saying we're all a load of drink addled old soaks? We should start an MR version of the Good Pub Guide. I'm sure that between most of the British members we've got more experience than they have![]()

Still on Danish beer - the Easter beer with the chicken on it is pretty good too.
And whoever knocked Carlsberg (NJuul?) needs to experiment with their speciality beers. They're about 40DKK but very good.
