In 10.7 have WINE working perfectly.

If Apple could put that off, I think that would make Microsoft be scared as hell.

To me the only advantage Windows has over OSX, Windows can run tons more applications.
WINE has made tons of progress since CrossOver 8.0.0/WINE 1.0.16. Heck, I think they're up to version 1.0.32 now, if not 1.0.33. Most of the fixes are for 64-bit support, which is a good thing :D

Something to mux mkv files to mpeg/vob so you can play them on the PS3. tsMuxeR did this but it doesn't work on Snow Leopard. There's a Windows app called mkv2vob that is perfect but the developers are not interested in making it for OS X.

I would also like applications to stream sports to the computer, like StreamTorrent and Sopcast etc.

well Virtual PC, I need to run 3.11 for very old games and vm fusion 3 sucks as it wont mout real floppies, and then paraless does not have drivers, so like WTF!

so I boot to boot camp and play my old games

Some of the CAD programs I have used in the past would be nice to have for mac because boot camp is a ball ache and parallels is a bad solution really.

Also blu-ray player/creator/ripper :D

OneNote, OneNote, OneNote

I hope MS decides to make OneNote for Mac. I love OneNote. I've tried Circus Ponies Notebook and a few other "information managers" and they just don't work as well for me as OneNote - and I especially miss the integration with Outlook. I'm hoping beyond hope that the Mac version of Outlook in the next version of Office will not suck and that OneNote will also be part of the package. please please please!

I think that's the only thing I'm really missing right now. Oh, and a cooking/shopping/coupon organizing program. I found MacGourmet and like it, but there's no component for tracking coupons. Bummer.

OneNote, OneNote, OneNote!

Newsbin Pro and AutoUnpack

I have yet to see a newsgroup binary reader that can match Newsbin Pro, and I've tried them all. They all pretty much do the samething, but none of them can automate downloading and unpacking as automatically as these 2 apps combined.

AutoUnpack automates unpacking .rar files, and automatically deletes the .rar parts.

These 2 apps are the only reason I still have to run Parallels every day. I wish I didn't have to.

Framemaker.

I'll never forgive Adobe for dropping this from the Mac about 5 years ago. There is nothing like it for making books with complex structures, indices, etc, etc...

European version of Quickbooks for mac. Switched my design and printing business to mac a few months back. Everything much sleeker and I'm far more efficient. Photoshop and Illustrator being the mainstay. Hate having to switch on my old pc now just to run Quickbooks. Get your fingers out Intuit and give us a macversion

A free, good version of Hearts and Solitaire. Not joking. I'm suddenly addicted to playing hearts and sick of playing it through VMWare. I'd even be willing to pay for a version executed as smoothly as the Windows 7 one.

If you aren't afraid of using the terminal there are plenty of python based clients that are one stop shops so to speak. Check out hellanzb or sabnzbd+.

Something that will print labels and let me retain my dark hair, not turn it gray or make me want to pull it out! I need something that will take my file done in MS Works (not Word) and let me import it to somewhere on this Mac and print my ~500 labels...been looking for this for almost two yrs. Apple, are you paying attention?

Allok Converter

Literally converts every possible media format to another.

Example: FLV to MP3 / 3GP to MP4 / MP3 to WMA / FLV to MP3

If Allok had a Mac version, that'd be the best.

Try Handbrake or FFmepg. Quicktime with Perian installed does server quite well too for some of the needs.

Winamp! (Macamp? :D) iTunes sound quality is awful. WMP even is better.

Connect to a digital audio device (e.g., receiver), that way you remove the audio responsibility from the Mac.

I'm pretty sure Bento will do this.

OneNote
Probably the only MS program that is worth the money.
