What measures will you take to protect yourself from iPhone X-inspired crimes?

  • Hire a bodyguard or become friends with one

  • Never take it out of pocket, ignore calls and texts from jealous wife and angry boss

  • Always leave it at home inside a plastic container in the fridge with the label "not iPhone X"

  • Only use in bed, under blankets, after midnight, after your deranged wife starts snoring

  • Upon UPS delivery, leave the box unopened until your next-door neighbor gets one too, circa 2020

  • Put it in a case mimicking Nokia 3310

  • Chain it to your ear, arm, neck, foot, or other body organ

  • Wear dirty smelly clothes pretending to be a bum who clearly does not, can not, and will not have X

  • Become an iPhone apostate, convert to Androism

  • Buy iPhone 8

Situational awareness is your friend. Don't go walking to your car staring down at your phone the whole time. Thieves love people that do that. Come up behind you and snatch it right out of your hand. I conceal carry so I feel sorry for anybody that attempts to hold me up with a knife. A gun is a different story. I don't try to be a hero with a fast draw. lol

Will you please link me that video, I am really curios to watch

That post (Video) has nothing to do with this thread, that's a thread that you started. I'm not sure why you would ask that in here. This is discussing the iPhone X measures.

I think if someone is carrying around an expensive piece of merchandise, try to keep it concealed the best you can or put it in a different bag that doesn't have an Apple logo on it.

But as far as concealed carry goes, it's a privilege. I always suggest somebody takes a training course or two regarding conceal carry techniques, understanding laws pertaining to conceal carry, and a hands on firearms course before they carry. (Some states require this). I think it's important to get to know the firearm that you're caring versus just carrying it for the sake of the defense. Training is crucial for concealed carry and makes the civilian that much more versed in being prepared the best they can any for unknown elements.

There will probably be at least one shooting or fight after 2 weeks of people standing in line. If they even have any stock sent to stores. It could be an online preorder only and pick ups in store without any midnight or early release.

In my country, because of the absurd taxes, it's gonna cost 1670$. More expensive than my 2016 base MBP 13. If I were to buy it, I'd get a black case, and don't ever use it in streets. I tend to use my phone on the streets a lot, but I can't do it with such a "jewelry"
