We did. Pretty good post credit scene, but not as good as some of the previous movies.

No spoilers but could you tell me if I have to stay for the entire credits or if there is just something in the middle of the credits. That could make the difference in my 6 year old peeing his pants or not. Thanks.

Yup saw it myself

"Casablanca" just came on as I type this.

What can be said that hasn't been said...great script (a work in process right up to the last frame), Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman, wonderful direction by Michael Curtiz, Ingrid Bergman, terrific cinematography, Ingrid Bergman, wonderful plot, Claude Rains (Gambling...I'm shocked), Ingrid Bergman.

An absolute must see for any movie fan.

And did I mention that Ingrid Bergman was in it!?

Terminal crush on...well,,,

^ Caught it myself on TCM.

:)

And then a little later, TCM High Plains Drifter which was my introduction to Westerns and anti-heroes. I still adore this movie. My favorite Eastwood film hands down.

and I finally relented with Van Helsing.

I love Hugh and Stephen Sommers is a great guy, but I had a real hard time with this film when I saw it theatrically and just about every time since until this past weekend. Suddenly, it dawned on me, it's Solomon Kane-lite with a Bondian Q, goofy and fun. Yes the C.G.I. sucks, but I still wince in thinking how much better it would have been if Sommers followed through on VH being the archangel Gabriel.

The middle credits one is the one that matters as to the MCU as a whole, the one at the very end of the credits is just a cute little epilogue to Thor's story.

Also, if you're watching Agents of SHIELD, the next 3 episodes will be dealing with the ramifications of the Asgardian's War.

I just watched Brave. When it came out, it looked like a movie I'd wanna watch but it got bad reviews and everyone said not to watch it and I listened. Never doing that again.

One of Pixar's best movies in my opinion.

I'm sure that I'll be thrown out of the nerd club, but I only stayed for one.

In my defence the idea of post credits is a foreign concept to most Europeans.:p

Well, if you caught the first one, that's the more important one. The one at the very end was just an adorable piece of fluff.

Aah...another TCM addict. I love that station, especially when they have a whole day of film noir, or Bogart films, or the like.:D

Thank you. I refuse to watch SHIELD Until it makes it few more seasons then I netflix it. I've started too many hourlong dramas that just cancelled without ever wrapping up any loose ends. Although I understand I might miss out on some back story if they weave plots in and out of the new movies.

I don't remember the reviews but when it came out I didn't think it looked good. I knew nothing about the story (no spoilers here but you know the odd twist it took) when I took my daughter and absolutely loved it.

Just got back from Gravity. Not that great to be honest. The story is not very believable and the 3D effects (for the most part) are just there to show you they could make a bolt float through space etc. Wait for it to be on TV and save your money IMO.

I've elected to stream it when the time comes.

Monsters University- watchable, but not nearly as good as the original. I love the original...

I watched Jack Reacher last night. It was a good flick despite being a Tom Cruise film. I'm not a big fan of his. Rather with Robert Duvall and Rosamund Pike in it, made it well worth watching.

I finally got around to watching I enjoyed the movie the plot was strong, better then prior superman movies imo. I will say Russell Crowe and Michael Shannon (General Zod) made the movie.

I saw that in the top movies list in iTunes last night. I've been avoiding it since I first heard about it being remade. I generally tend to avoid remakes, but I've been hearing good things about it.

Maybe I'll give it a try soon.

Its more of a franchise reboot then a remake. I hated the prior remake that came out a few years because they really didn't do anything different from when Chris Reeves was superman.

A real blast from the past for me this weekend.:D

I finally saw Alfie, the one from 1966, with Michael Caine, Shelley Winters. I had never seen this film. I really liked it, I had of course lived through the 60's in a different country true, but a lot like the cars were very familiar.

It was shown at the local 'Art House Theatre' , I think that the average of the public was 62 years.:D

Jurassic Park (1993)- a milestone in cinematic technology (first time CGI dinos inserted into live action) and entertaining, just set aside how badly they chopped up the book.

And just don't think about... How could Mr. TRex be walking around in a paddock on the other side of the wall/fence, but when he pushes the car over the same wall there is a 100' drop to the valley below, hmm? ;)

Woodstock- on VH1 last night.

Documentary of the 1969 music festival near Bethel, New York. A blast to the past, besides the good music, like riding a time machine, the documentary spent just about as much time observing the people as show casing the music. I was in 10th grade, too young to even think about going there if I could have. First saw this movie in college. Each band played for about an hour, but in this movie you only see them performing 1 or 2 songs. My favorite performances shown in the film were by The Who, Santana, Joan Baez, and Crosby Stills Nash and Young. Jimi Hendix's Star Spangled Banner stands alone. The single best performance (imo) goes to Ten Years After, "I'm Going Home".

15 bands were omitted from the movie, names like Creedence Clearwater, Blood Sweat and Tears, and the Grateful Dead. (source, Complete list of performers, songs, and schedule)

War Wagon (1967)- John Wayne, Kirk Douglass, a very enjoyable movie about a rancher getting even. John Wayne is the bedrock, but Douglass makes it pop. :)
