A few movies today...

And just as everyone has told me for the past 24 years, this one was terrible! :p
Predator 2 (1990)
Amidst a territorial gang war, a sophisticated alien hunter stalks the citizens of Los Angeles and the only man between him and his prey is veteran L.A.P.D. officer, Lieutenant Mike Harrigan.

This one wasn't too bad..in comparison to the original.
Predators (2010)
A group of elite warriors are hunted by members of a merciless alien race known as Predators.

Right now I'm watching a classic horror film..
The Blob (1958)
An alien lifeform consumes everything in its path as it grows and grows.

Ah, but the quite haunting story that gave rise to this movie was written by Daphne du Maurier…….(who wrote some pretty impressive stuff, not least the atmospheric, gripping and disturbing 'Rebecca' which - when it was brought to the screen, was also directed by Alfred Hitchcock and starred Laurence Olivier as Maxim de Winter.)

Watched Skyfall again last night. My least favorite of the Daniel Craig films. I don't think the story made a lot of sense in places. Like the old Astin Martin being stuck in a garage somewhere yet fully serviced and ready for a 300 mile drive.

If you're talking about the 1988 version starring Kevin Dillon, yeah it's pretty good. I've got that one in my collection.

That one!:)

It's my least favorite Craig Bond too.

Watched The Interview on Google Play last night. Meh. Glad that I didn't go to a theater for that. it had its funny bits, but overall just meh.

Glad I'm not the only one who shares this opinion.

I recently rewatched Inside Llewyn Davis. My favorite Coen brothers film. Love the era's music. Oscar Isaac was the most underrated actor last year. One of my favorite movies ever.

Also, I know this isn't a movie, but I felt that this video is still relevant to this thread. For those who like the "epic rap battles of history" series. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_wYtG7aQTHA

Did not care for another Mr Rogen product: Knocked Up so I'll wait till its $3.99 to stream.

By contrast, I enjoyed Knocked Up (even though that was more of an Apatow movie that just happened to star Seth Rogen) and also recently enjoyed Superbad from the same writing team as The Interview.

I think part of the problem with The Interview is that the premise is far too fr fetched to be truly believable.

I thought it was very good. It's not a remake of the original 1958 movie starring Steve McQueen because it's basically a newer story about the blob. Beware of the Blob (1972) sucked balls. That being said, Kevin Dillon was really good in this one, and the story line was very good as well. Just my opinion...

Though, some of the opening scenes were identical to the original. For instance, the old man getting his hand covered in it, then running down the road and having the young kids find him and take him into town, was pretty much exactly the same. I'm halfway through it right now...
