Exactly, that's what I was pointing out, he looks fantastic!

So, I'll go out on a limb here, and for the record, I thought the remake was decent. Assume it's completely different, and keep an open mind. I didn't care for Thor's character, but Hemsworth can play an idiot like nobody's business. Thanks for this report. I knew there was a reason I never went to see this. The original cast and story was supurb with just the right touch of comedy. I'll guess/assume the new players had trouble filling shoes, meeting audience expectations of those who saw the original, and the script was just too repetitive or not that good. One strike for me, I don't think Melissa McCarthy is funny. I can still remember seeing the original film for the first time, a knockout! I think if I had been an actor, I'd have been scared to death to be in this remake, i.e. living up to the original.
Edit:typo
Hmm (not a sexist statement)
Spoiler Clip from the original
It's hard to say if it's a remake or a reboot or just a re-imagining in a sense, given that it's now set in the present with the mummy coming to us essentially.
The Mummy (2017)- remake...Tom Cruise... really?
Just had to comment. Not really watching a movie, but I am watching House season 1! Haha. Binge On!
Currently, the wife and I have been watching the Netflix original series, The Crown. We've found the series to be very captivating. This historical drama is superbly done in all respects. One qualifier, as an American, I likely do not have the same knowledge for what is historically accurate as one from the UK. Here is a short trailer:
There's a thread for that too: Which TV Series Are You Binging On?Just had to comment. Not really watching a movie, but I am watching House season 1! Haha. Binge On!
It's never lupus (although always looks like it is!).he he he. it's not lupus..
and there is a tv binge thread...![]()

Oh and patients lie!
I miss that show.

that looks better, and different, than the crap brendan fraser was in though
We watched it last night, I had a bunch of free rentals, and we decided to take a break on our standard christmas flicks (we'll watch those over and over through the holidays).
It's outstanding. Intense, scary, fun twists and yeah, Stephen Lang (who folks might know from Avatar as Colonel Quaritch, among dozens of terrific roles) was fantastic - also, holy hell, the guy is 64.
Loved the camera work, Fede Alvarez (dir) used some of the same style to great effectiveness in his remake of Evil Dead.
It's just the fact they keep rebooting the franchise that gets on my nerves!exactly how many different spider man movies are they gonna make?
Knight and Day with Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz was a serious/tongue'n cheek version of the same story, but actually worthy of watching imo.
I saw Central Intelligence a month or two ago. It was alright but it left me blindsided with how weak the story was. Get Smart was good. Carrel did another film, I want to say Dinner with Shmucks that dealt with spies and that was very good. Knight and Day was alright, but I feel, and I might have the dates wrong here, that Red and the film with Ashton Kutcher as an assassin was better on the spoof front. There was this film years ago about a woman, her child and an airliner and I think that one scene from Knight and Day was borrowed from it.Central intelligence (2016)- Dwain Johnson spy farce, is he a good guy or bad guy? Eh. Get Smart was better as a comedy. Knight and Day with Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz was a serious/tongue'n cheek version of the same story, but actually worthy of watching imo.

That's kind of part of the storyline basically not to know what is happening or why and figure out where you are and more importantly how to work with others to get out.rented this movie last nite, it was horrible. no storyline at all. the whole movie just shows them trying to escape.
FYI: this was probably the inspiration for the movie SAW but at least SAW had a great storyline.

To some it might not be, to others it certainly is--basically trying to figure out what's happening as the other characters in the movie are figuring it out.wait what? thats not a storyline lol
